The Giants have released their middle linebacker and defensive captain Antonio Pierce, the defensive captain said in an e-mail this afternoon.

I kind of figured this was coming. He showed that he was really slowly down by the end of the 2008 season so I figured when he went out with injury this year that it would signal the end of his run there.

I agree with Ramp though cause this means the Giants will likely be trying to move up to get McClain. That will kill Hos. His favorite LB in the draft and he's going to likely wind up with the enemy.
