Wow didn't see that coming.

He was their leader mentally and emotionally, but there's no question they can upgrade that position via draft or maybe free agency.

He has gone down hill fast ever since the Plaxico shooting incident.

The Giants have released their middle linebacker and defensive captain Antonio Pierce, the defensive captain said in an e-mail this afternoon.
The Giants will announced the transaction shortly.
More to come.

I kind of figured this was coming. He showed that he was really slowly down by the end of the 2008 season so I figured when he went out with injury this year that it would signal the end of his run there.

I agree with Ramp though cause this means the Giants will likely be trying to move up to get McClain. That will kill Hos. His favorite LB in the draft and he's going to likely wind up with the enemy.

I'd bet more on him ending up in St. Louis with Spagnuolo if he can still play.

it would be worth it.

I'm hoping the Cowboys will land the kid from Flordia. Brooking is no spring chicken and got exposed in coverage too much for my liking. James has improved in that area but still not enough.

The giants are a mess and it is pathetic Dallas didn't take care of business against them this year, it cost them homefield ultimately.
