No way Manginirat signs this rad flag fumbler.

The Parcells tree of Coaches abhore fumblers.

I see alot of people bring this up, but he isnt a fumbler...everyone looks at the number from last yr, but they dont take into account a few things:

1) several of the fumbles he's given "credit" for were bad snaps/exchanges when he was taking direct snaps in that "wild hog" formation

2) he played basically the entire year with a rib injury

3) he wasnt a "fumbler" his first two yrs, totalling only 4 each yr before

4) and of course then there's people commenting on him that have hardly (if ever) seen him play

of course, none of this supports the "agenda"

Believe me if the Cowboys traded up and grabbed DMC their would be plenty of happy fans on this forum period. no matter how mad u would be when the trade first is announce you guys would be over it in a heartbeat..........

You're right. I'd be over it super quick. That super quick being nearly a year later. The only way I'd wind up happy about jerry doing that is if he ran for 2100 hundred yards and 25 touchdowns and we won the Superbowl. If anything less than all that happened then, no, I wouldn't be over it or happy.

Ray Rice is not half the RB Emmitt Smith was at Florida...just because he is short and has big legs doesnt mean he is Emmitt Smith..he doesnt have Emmitt's power or his vision

as for Blair Thomas/DMAC comparison, dream on

David

It has little to do with their body type. its the way Rice cuts and his vision. He can be on the centers left shoulder see a gap form outside the tackle and cut to the tackles left shoulder and still maintain north south momentum. And for someone that likes to to talk about not watching DMCyou apparently need to watch some footage of Rice. no power?!?

We probably would need to trade up in the second to get him.

Marion Barber is a great runningback but he's not special. If Barber continues to run the way he is now, he won't be in the NFL in the next 3-4 years. Granted McFadden hasn't seen one down in the NFL, but you just know when a RB is special. Can you imagine McFadden running behind Gurode and Bigg? McFadden was on a ridiculous one dimensional offense in college. Imagine DMac on a powerful offense like ours. Dallas is known as a passing team now, but I believe McFadden would bring a lot more balance to our offense. If he falls, you have to pull the trigger b/c this draft is deep with CB. The only mistake Dallas made was not picking up a FA WR. This draft class isn't deep at WR so that's the only hesitation I have about packaging picks for McFadden.

Personally, I think the draft is going to surprise us and McFadden will fall to around 13 where Carolina picks and I would bet we could make a trade there.

They would have to package Barber and the two number ones.

So we are trading the equivalent of 3 first rounders + a 3rd rounder for a rookie RB to replace a probowl RB.

And we only have 2 legit CBs on the roster and both missed games due to injury last year.

Does anybody else think this is just freaking ********?:bang2:

It's no use in even arguing the point until after the draft. There are always going to be diehards out there for the player they want, and no matter how much logic you use, nothing will change. It's just a wait and see like any other draft pick to see how things pan out in the end.

I do agree and think that if the Raiders pass on McFadden, the Jets would be the next logical team to pick McFadden and hope he can revive their offensive woes since T. Jones is not the answer.

I agree we're not going to pay 2 backs big money. But I don't think it's a coincidence we haven't worked out a long term deal with Barber yet.

It feels like to me that Jerry is leaving the option open of landing McFadden somehow...and if we do, then we only have Barber's tender contract ($2.5million) for next season, he becomes a FA after the season and if McFadden showed the right stuff, then Barber is signed elsewhere.

If a deal can't be made to move up for McFadden and a back that seems like a good compliment to Barber is available at one of our first day picks (probably not round 1 but possibly), then I could see taking that back and then maybe working on a long term deal for Barber before or after the season.
I cannot forsee ANY scenario where we take a commodity that we got in the 4th..groomed into a Pro Bowl back worthy of a first round pick...and let him walk for NOTHING
