NY radio trying to name the catch

I was laughing on the drive home last night. I think it's Mike and Mad dog or something like that, (I'm in upstate NY) were taking calls and trying to come up with a name for Eli's desperation heave to Tyree. Some of them were absolutely hilarious. Slip, chuck and grab, Hail Manning, catch 42, the anti-patriot missile, and on and on.

I've listened to that too.

Some of the funniest parts were when Francesca was trying to come up with something. I swear 5 minutes of mostly dead air, with the occasional "desert"...."deh...sert"....."dsrt" then more silence...."42"...."fooor"...fooorty twwwooo"....and silence....

Mad Dog was off yesterday, so it was a one man show.

I really don't know why that struck me as so funny. It was just so odd out of context and it went on for soooo long. Absolutely sounded like Francesca had utterly lost his mind.

I think they should call it .. "Karma" ... aka: "The Karma Catch (tm)"

.. named more so for the Patriots than for the Giants since it was an extremely lucky play.

I think "Escape to New York" fits the best.
The Giants escaped the jaws of defeat and brought the Trophy to New York

From the moment I saw the play it reminded me of Tyrone Prothro's catch in college football a few years ago that won the ESPY for play of the year. Tyree's catch was amazingly similar...
