The haters say pull Dak Prescott for Tony Romo. The hardcore fans say the Cowboys are still 11-2 with a playoff berth clinched. And the New York media? At least one publication says watch out Jerry Jones, because the Giants are threatening Dallas' Super Bowl dreams.

"Jerrah is scared," New York Daily News' Manish Mehta wrote of the Cowboys GM/owner on Monday.

"Oh, he'll never admit, but the voice in his head is loud and clear: The Giants are going to screw us again."

Man, our DEFENSE pretty much raped/killed/pillaged and burned their eli Manning led offense, granted they had suffered dropped balls that more than likely we won't see happen again but in that 2nd game our DEFENSE came to play,,,er,,,ah,,,other than letting them score more points than we did,,, but still,,,,

Giants << Skins

The New York media guys actually back their team I'll give them credit for that(unlike the Dallas guys who go out of their way to trash the Cowboys), but that was a waste of print.

Their OL isn't as good
Their runners aren't as good
They don't have as many weapons
Eli isn't as good

Better in the secondary
Good but not as good upfront

I'll take the Giants every day of the week. I'm more concerned about a team that has multiple offensive threats and can light up a scoreboard. The Giants aren't that, and I don't see them flipping a Switch come playoffs.

The only reason these guys are viewed as any threat is because of what they've done in the past. Come playoff time that past hope/myth will put to bed(early) by us or by the first real team they face in the playoffs.

Dallas won't see them again, one of the other teams will take them out in the first round. They won't have the advantage of playing a division rival and knowing how to muck up the works.

It would be a tough game. Dallas shot themselves in the foot all night with penalties and lack of focus. But at the same time not sure the defense could repeat that performance or the Giants have all those turnovers. I think both offenses would be better if we meet again and it'd come down to the wire again.

Granted they've beat Dallas twice. I'm still not impressed with the giants.

Problem for them is there's teams with better d and o than them in the playoffs.

Offense, fine. But who in the NFC has a better D? Minnesota? They aren't making the playoffs. Detroit? Nope. Cowboys? Nope. Seattle? Seem pretty comparable to me, especially with no Thomas. Tampa? No one on this board seems to think the Bucs can come close this Sunday to stifling our offense the way the Giants have twice now. Green Bay? Their D sucks. Washington? Not close.

I know we don't like it, but give credit where credit is due -- the NY D is legit.

I personally don't think they will win the Super Bowl, but there is precedent for a strong defense carrying a mediocre offense to the Lombardi. Ravens 2000, the perfect Dolphins, Gruden's Bucs, and the first Steelers champion in SB IX come to mind off the top of my head.

Sorry to be a downer, but there have been 20 times since the merger that teams have had the chance for three games during a season. The sweep has occurred 13-7.
