Miles Austin and Dez Bryant are probably two of the top 10 most talented WRs in the league, and yet except for TDs their production is average at best. Though as noted, our WRs can score with anyone. Even not playing all 16 games. (TD: Miles: 7, Dez: 9, Robinson: 11)

Newman is done. This will free around $9M in salary cap space.

Scandrick is very talented and appears to have the skills and athletic ability to play the position, but it appears that he doesn't play with confidence. That deep pass to Cruz last night. He had position and was on his player, but even looking at the ball coming in (he was looking back as the ball arrived), it was as if he thought he had two options and couldn't decide which option to take. He sat there and lets the catch happen. That can't happen. He has no confidence in himself. That is a real shame.

Doug Free has regressed period. There have been some very credible posters here that say otherwise, but I'm sorry. He is getting beat the way Flozell was getting beat in his last season in Dallas. I don't know what has happen with him, but he embarrasses himself out there at least once a game and sometimes several times against better competition.

Spencer is a good player, but he lacks game changing ability. If you want a great defense, you need a game changer on both sides of the defensive line. Personally, I think Spencer might be a better player if he bulked up to 300lbs and played 3-4 DE. I don't know. Maybe not, but someone has to raise the pass rush stakes opposite Ware.

Ware. IMO, Ware is the most consistently dominate OLB / DE in history of the NFL. What I mean by that, is he plays his position extremely well and makes less mistakes than other top DE / OLBs in history. Now, the flaw to Ware's game. Ware cannot "take it to he next level". He always plays at the same level. The difference between LT / Reggie White, etc and Ware? When the game was on the line, LT / White, etc could take it to a whole other level. A level that Ware can't. Ware consistently plays and an very high level, but he just can't seem to take it to that next level when he has too. Sure, he appeared to have done it a couple of times. Like against the Saints a couple of years ago. But for someone so consistent. He isn't consistent in that regard. He plays a the top of his game all the time. It's just that the top of his game, isn't quite as high as Reggie White, LT, and other great players like that.

I like this Kowalski kid. The game just doesn't seem to be too big for him. While he must have some green to him to keep him out of the starting line up, I think he will be a staple in the line up soon enough.

McBriar is on IR and he is a UFA. Obviously we want him back!

Dan Bailey was 2nd in FGs made (32) and tied for 5th in FG% at 86%.

Even with the defensive player woes, Rob Ryan DEFINITELY isn't as skilled a DC as his brother or his father. There are a couple of coaches on the market right now that are far better than he is. Jerry, go get one. (Dom Capers is my first choice)

Garrett is green and could use some guidance from an experienced coach. His current staff doesn't have all that much. Soprano has been around a while and has plenty of experience. I would hire him as the OC / assistant HC. He can also help with the OL coaching. I hate to say this, but maybe Houck is done. If not, he is close to it.

Finally, rather than keep rambling. There is definitely some rebuilding that has to be done. Specifically on the defensive side. I've got to say this too. The only WR I feel like we can fully depend on is Robinson. I think the offensive line will be better next year, but Free MUST improve. You cannot have your tackle breaking down that many plays a game.

Good points. I agree re the WR's, although part of the problem is that we don't attack defenses the way that our opponents do.

this....put our wr's in GB system and watch them flourish.

Dez is not a great WR.

He is a great athlete playing WR.

But until he learns to run routes that get him open, he will not reach his full potential.

He should be unstoppable, but sometimes in games he disappears.

He may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but with his passion, and after two seasons, .. he should be better than this.

I have to question the coaching.

With no help on the o-line, you can field Fitzgerald, Desean Jackson, Roddy White, and others, and still not get them the ball.

Put up a video of Drew Brees, who I consider to be elite, but not at the same talent level as Romo. Brees would get killed behind our o-line. Romo would go crazy behind the New Orleans o-line.

Fix the trenches on this team, then worry about your skill positions.

Although I disagree on him putting on a ton of weight, I think we should re-sign him for a year and play him as a DE.

Interesting since I just mentioned the same thing earlier today in the Draft Zone.

New Orleans has far and away the best offensive line in the NFL.

Their interior OL is like a forcefield.

Absolutely correct. I don't want to hear about any offseason plans that don't feature a major makeover of the offensive and defensive lines.

Fix the O-line and alot of those problems will work themselves out. As for Ware, he really needs another end and nosetackle to take him to the next level. He tries too hard at times and overruns the play.

As for the D-backs, they are all horrible to mediocre except Jenkins. If yas noticed, on the majority of plays, I always saw one of them throw their hands in the air blaming someone else for missed coverage, etc. Newman running sideways, turning his head looking for someone to make the initial hit instead of tackling. Dave Campo needs a nice retirement package and move to some island and enjoy the rest of his life. If he or Newman are here next season, I will lose all confidence in this team to do the right thing. Can probably throw Alan Ball into that too.

This is what I'm hanging my hat on this offseason. We can be New Orleans if we can get our offensive line fixed. They don't have more weapons than we do. They don't have better coaching than we do. They certainly don't have a better defense than we do.

What makes it all work for them is the blocking.

I'd do everything I could to strengthen the OL this offseason and try to win it the way New Orleans, New England and Green Bay are doing it this year.

I don't understand all the "Get Campo" talk. The last time any Cowboy defense was worth a crap, Campo was running it.

Free is beginning to remind me of the human turnstile....Petitti. Dude was a matador...Ole!

That was in an era where the defense could do more things....the rule changes have essentially hamstrung defenses. Campo is a relic and hasn't shown that he can adapt to the changes.

Campo is Jerry's last remaining beacon of the glory years. Jerry loves him some relics.

Guys, the OL isn't the whole problem. It's a combination of WRs and OL. The WRs not running proper routes means the OL must protect longer.

I'm extremely disappointed in both Dez and Miles. I had such high hopes for them and they've disappointed big time.
