When byes first started, four division teams took them at the same time. And in most years, when we've had our bye, either another team in our division also had a bye, or two of the teams in our division played each other. There haven't been many times when we had a bye and the other three all played non-division opponents, and this is the first time all three lost.

Dallas isnt going to compete for the NFC East title this year and, barring one of the most miraculous coaching turnarounds in league history, won't even make the playoffs at all
