I knew we was going to hear this for the next few years. I like Frederick, but I liked him in the late second. First round pick in name only. It was a reach. The OP has a good point. A great oline could have been built the last couple of years and first round picks wasn't needed. As of now, two line positions are filled with good young players. I guess that's enough for some, but three more needs upgrading.
Nonsense.
The best 5 players from above would have formed a terrible OL.
DeCastro, Konz and Warford is a young and mistake-laden interior OL but one you can work with that has insane upside.
OT however would be barren. Armstead is 2 or 3 year project. Pugh is projected back inside because of measurables. Long is also projected back inside. Forcing either outside is begging for sacks.
And none of those interior guys but Konz have outperformed our crappy OL as of yet.
After investing 0 first round picks along the OL Dallas has done so twice now in 3 seasons. Anyone crying about that is just crying to cry. Whether you liked Smith or Frederick means very little because the team did and it spent the picks.
