Just as important in building a dominant O-Line is having chemistry- having the same 5 guys line up next to each other, practice after practice, game after game. We have a serious crisis building. Flo and Larry appear set on the left side (unless LA moves to RT). But look at the rest of the line- Al and Gurode are rotating at center, Rivera missed mini camps with the back injury and now isn't practicing with a hammy problem. they say he won't play monday night. and we all know about the revolving door at RT. We have yet to have our starting five on the field together a single time and the season starts in 3 weeks. this is really starting to bother me. :bang2:

As you should!

I think having Flo, LA, AL, Rivera, and Pettiti on the field may turn out to be ok as the work together...when they have a chance to work together, but as far as back ups in each position...........we are screwed!

Tucker is an off-sides waiting to happen
Peterman may be ok, but has not shown anything yet.
Gurode....who knows???? May be a decent back up.

I think Gurode can do a decent job unless he is up against a top player as regards playing guard. But he is pretty much either going to split time at center or backup center. Now if BP wants to roll the dice he can use Gurode as his primary backup at guard; Vollers at both tackles, and take a chance. But that is asking a lot.

At this point with our depth Gurode should be the primary backup at C and G

The O-line obviously is not were it needs to be. I trust that things will look better by the end of camp.

Although we will be in trouble if injuries continue to pop up. Depth is someting we definately don't have.

I thought when training camp began that at least we would have good depth, but the starters might not be all that great. I am thinking that now the starters at all 5 should be either very good or at least good, but our depth is disappearing.
