Not at all. Brad Johnson would have missed if he threw it at the ground. The Offense was just flat without Tony.

They were not much better.

The issue with this team is the defense. This team should have been able to lean on its defense today with a 7-0 lead and then run the ball and keep brad from having to be in position to have to win the game.

Instead we see the same cast of characters get pushed around and miss tackles. Watching our safeties play is just sickening. they cant tackle and they cant defend passes. Larry brown said it a month ago and every week it makes more and more sense, all Dallas Gets from its safeties is that on a good day they will tackle.

I wish they didnt cater to these guys so much. The guys on this defense should be embarrassed, but each week the coach and the owner make excuses for them and they all go about their buisness. Tv shows, Radio shows. Its flat out absurd.

We would have lost anyway.

The Rams were getting to our QB with ease using 3 and 4 man rushes. Flozell was getting abused again. I believe he gave up sacks on back to back plays.

he sure did.

And for the second time in two weeks we gave up a sack when 3 guys were rushing. ANd it wasnt a coverage sack. it was just flat out bad effort and bad play from adams/columbo/davis.

Adams, Columbo, and Proctor looked horrible. Proctor was pushed back multiple times (see the first interception), Flozell couldn't handle an end with speed (again--everyone knows he has trouble with speed rushes and says so on the broadcast, as if it makes it okay...) and no one got a push on the running plays. I thought Houck was a genius--I guess I was wrong (or our players really are crap).

I have to disagree with you Hos about one O-line player, Flozell Adams is terrible. He got owned last week and got his butt handed to him again today. Whether it is motivation or laziness, Adams is playing like crap:(

The O-line did play poorly especially in one big area: Run Offense. We have been getting stuffed at the line of scrimmage even with Barber (last year we at least thought Julius was having problems getting past the line of scrimmage). We don't have that excuse anymore.

Makes you wonder if Julius was really the problem, doesn't it. Maybe our O line just sucks as run blocking. The problem is now they suck at pass blocking. We've made the Rams and Cards look like our pass rushers of the 70's.

Man, if Romo doesn't play against Tampa Bay, this season may be history. Dallas will not beat them without Romo.

Dallas must win that game.

This offensive line hasn't been the same since the Green Bay game when Kosier was in there. They need him back ASAP. Proctor was bull rushed right into Johnson. The ball was tipped and picked off. It gave the Lambs a short field. When they were not running over Proctor, they were running around him. Gurode snapped the ball when Johnson was't ready in the shot-gun. That lost 7 yards on third down. Then, Dallas decided they would block them all on the punt from their own goalline this week, and the punt went 36 yards. Again, the Lambs took the short field in for a TD.

If Adams doesn't get it together, it will not matter if Romo plays. I'm hoping Kosier can play the next game and settle him down. He needs a kick in the butt. I know he played dinged last week, but he looked bad today.

When Felix Jones comes back, I would run him with Barber, and I would feed both of them the rock. I would run it 40 times a game. Dallas needs to be the team we saw at Green Bay when they absolutely destroyed them.

That might settle this team down, make the offensive line tougher (like in Green Bay), keep the defense off the field, and limit the pass protection and hits on Romo.

This is exactly what I saw.

Leonard Davis looks like how he plays. Bored and when he wants to. Same label coming out of Phoenix.

Good point.

I thought Moose made a good point today about character. How adversity doesn't build it, but reveals it. Probably a cliche', but I think it's true.

And I'm not sure what that means for this team. I think the fear of many has been that we're a front-running bunch -- from having to coddle TO's temper (how he's happy so long as he's getting balls and we're winning; geez, aren't we all?) to many others.

On defense all you see is talk and no walk. I think the Kitna/Trufant arguing Newman and Bradie James got into said a lot. They talked sooooo much smack, and then got smacked upside the heads themselves.

It's no wonder the Giants hate us. Last year we had the misconception that they were the smack-talking fools that needed to be shut up. Nope, it's us. We're the guys that talk and talk and talk -- much to the annoyance of everyone else in the room, and to the point where they have to punch us in the mouth to get us to shut up. And then we quietly retreat, at least for a while.

Rainman, again great anology. I wish I had the ability to put pen to paper the way you do. I have the nasty habit of being condescending.

note to self.......... :write: Stop that.
