The Cowboys completed their first game without giving up a

sack since Dec. 8, 2002, against San Francisco. This is

just the second time in 50 games the Cowboys haven't given

up a sack.

And just think....our HC and OC were scared to death of this defense that we were facing. :banghead:

Well the defense we faced played pretty damn well. They swarmed everywhere, and they deserve any credit given to them. We lost out on 2 stupid plays. That's all there is to it. I'm over it

And we did it with a rookie starting at RT. Let's hear it for Petitti, way to step up big against a tough D. I think we got the steal of the draft in Petitti. I know we got good value on a lot of our guys, but 6th rounder (and LT in college) to starting RT in a few weeks? That's impressive.

So tell me....does that simple stat alone tell you we were to conservative!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not taking anything away from the Oline at all, infact to their credit we should have thrown more.

I'm gonna be all over Payton the way HH is on Zimmy if this does not change ASAP!

I think the line did fine but Bledsoe was getting the ball out of there quickly as well that helped in avoiding the sacks. Other than a couple of critical penalties the line did a good job.

You gotta love that our o-line didn't give up any sacks...I thought we would have been sacked at least four times and would have thrown at least one int.

I think they're starting to gel.

Something else, I think worth mentioning, JJ caught the ball pretty well I thought.

Now, I didn't love a lot of the short passes Bledsoe threw but I did see JJ catch a couple of balls that were not easy. I thought he did a pretty good job of this. Down the road, this phase of his game will prove to be pretty awsome for us. That's just my opinion but I expect he will become very valuable to us in the passing game.

We were definitely conservative. I thought that outside of the flea flicker we really only threw very short passes. Right now I think the team is trying to find out what it can do and it will be adjusted as the season goes on. This was a learning experience for everyone IMO, and the team will be better for it down the road.

I like all the positives out of this game. we did play 55 minutes of pretty dominant football. but the game goes for 60.

The most important stat in the NFL is the W. We failed to get it. It is exciting that we played really well on O Line. I'm gonna be pissed about this game for a long time. But theres 14 more to go, so I'm not gonna act like tis the end of the world in Week2

Strangely enough, if memory serves me right, O lineman prefer to run block over pass block any day. Despite that, we pass blocked very well last night, but had a terrible time run blocking. Go figure. We couldn't shake JJ loose at all. Why can't we run block,...right or left???

I thought the O-Line played very well. Honestly, my impression was that Bill and company didn't think they would do as well as they did. Maybe the Skins not blitzing as much threw them off, but I thought it looked like Drew and the receivers had been drilled all week to get the ball out quickly. In the end, I think it backfired. Dallas didn't take nearly enough shots down the field.

Bottom line the Skins have a dominant run defense...have for years. Frankly, it's easier to pass to set up the run against then visa versa...on the few occasions we stretched the field we had success. Payton became a chicken **** when we could have put the nail in the coffin!
