Do the Cowboys have the worse o-line in the NFL? If they are not they are the 2nd worst to me. They are pathetic watching them block.

Toss up between them and Houston. We might be worse.

It's one of the worst lines I have ever seen....PERIOD.

It needs a major overhaul and a new coach....Sparano is clearly over his head here.

The right side needs to be replaced as does Allen in my opinon. Al Johnson is a sieve, but young and not sure how easy it would be to replace four lineman.

Aside from Flo, the entire OL is B A D, bad.

I give Rob a bit of a break because he was thrown into the fray as a 6th round rookie. Still, he played poorly.

The OL doesn't need a major overhaul, it needs a complete one and that won't happen in one year, may not happen in two.

I don't watch other teams closely enough to know, but I can't remember EVER seeing a worse Dallas O-line.

Embarassing.

At one time, Jones had 10 carries for 10 yds or something like that.

Bledsoe couldn't even get the strings turned in his hand before he was getting hit.

Our OL sure went south in a major way and fixing them is top priority in the offseason--although improvements in other areas are also necessary. Sorry it is so long.
Will Jones/Parcells do what is necessary? Who knows, but certainly they will try cause I can't believe after watching last nite's debacle there is any doubt what needs be done.

1) OTs: Adams is good LT; want him back but he turns 31 in 06. Pettiti might get better in next year but he's far from NFL starter. 06 OT draft class is best in years; many good ones available when we DRAFT either in 1st round (Winston, Scott) or 2nd. Cut TUCKER unless (as some suggests) he can become productive player at backup OG.
2. OGs: Allen (35 in 06) has 1-2 yrs left & Riveria (34 in 06) disappointed maybe due to back injury. Will Riveria's play improve in 06?? Peterson backs up Allen, but is he any good should either go down in 06?? Do we have any decent OG backup?? Given there ages, now is time to DRAFT quality OG like Max Jean Gilles (experts also say he athletic enough to play RT in NFL) and he would be available when we pick in first round.
3. Al Johnson entering 3rd year at center. Frame prevents him getting bigger but can he significantly increase strength/leverage to consistently handle DTs?? Will Jerry Jones/Parcells bit the bullet & try sign a quality FA center if one available?? GBN top 100 college players does not list a center so draft doesn't appear to be an option for immediate upgrade. Cut GURODE.
4. WRs: Add quality WR who can stretch the field & who opponents. Need him play opposite Glenn who too easy to double team w/o such a player. Also can Glenn stay healthy for another whole year?? Crayton must get more playing time to develop into player he can be; no more ST play. If we keep Keyshawn, he's got be willing accept lesser role. If we don't add another WR, will be held hostage at this position next year. REMEMBER in SB 92-93 years we had Harper & Irvin opposite each other. Same formula necessary now.
5. TE: Witten's good receiver but blocking must improve. Cut CAMPBELL & sign/draft another TE who can block & good ST player.
6. FB: Surely we can find FB who really good blocker & can occasionally catch a ball out of the backfield.
7. I'm okay with our RBs but unless OL & other blockers open up running lanes for them, no NFL RB will succeed with us. It a wonder we won 9 games with such a poor running game.
8. Bledsoe did better then what I thought he would but obvious lack of mobility requires good OL which he got to some extent until Adams went down. Should have signed a decent OT backup when Rogers failed; left us limited on OL. But decision to keep Thompson probably forced Parcells not to keep enough good OL players; we also keep more DL then we will this year & that affected numbers on OL. But you do gotta wonder how well Bledsoe would have played if he had good pass protection & good running game the whole year. Frankly, despite some obvious Bledsoe mistakes, he carried this offense to greater extent then he should have had too. We gotta develop backup QB for future or we held hostage here should Bledsoe go down.

I'm so tired of seeing guys in totally free killing Bledsoe.

Major overhaul, Line coach, players and maybe even up to Payton.

I think SParano has to go. We did better last year with less talent.

There isn't a QB breathing air who can stand up to that. Amazing Bledsoe lasted the year.

We are better then Houston but then again we have a lot more talent there as well. To me its all about the tackles and the coaching. Not to mention a weak center and a vet guard that we spent a lot of money on and really REALLY underperformed.

I actually think we are two players away on the OL. Both tackle spots. If Adams returns to form we're only one spot away. In fact this line would look a lot different with John Runyan and Flozell Adams at tackle. the guards wont be that shabby provided they don't have to help out the tackles on every passing down. Pettiti and Tucker could both convert to guards to provide competition there. neither have the quick feet to play OT in the NFL

Get Flozell back with Allen Johnson Rivera and Tucker. That O-line would have been decent. Johnson has played like crap and so did Petti. I 'll give Rivera the benefit of a doubt because he was always helping Pettiti out.

We had no 1,000 yard rusher (I know JJ came close) and we had the 2nd most sacks in the NFL, behind the disaster that is the Texans line, so yeah we are the bottom 2-3 lines in the NFL.
