Eagles can beat Dallas in a lot of ways. Dallas struggled with mobile QBs even when the defense was playing at a high level. Dallas also has a bunch of holes in the secondary due to injury. Not to mention, the Eagles D is elite. All-Pro secondary and are shattering the team sack record. Hard to see how Dallas can compete. It’s really the Eagles and Niners in the NFC and some elite QBs in the AFC. Gonna come down to QB vs defense in the Super Bowl. Last time we saw that, the Seahawks beat Peyton Manning by 50 points.
Agreed. Eagles offense is pretty simple. They have emough good wide receiverrs and tight ends so that defenses have to assign personnel to cover them, once the defense leaves the los area to take care of those threats, Hurts just runs out of the pocket and makes good yardage. If defenses leave personnel in to contain Hurts, the offensive line has the ability to protect Hurts long enough and often enough so that he can pick the receiver to throw to. Other than Hurts the Eagles run game isn't great, but when you don't have to go to the running game that often, when they do run the defense isn't ready for it.
Really the Eagles offense is Hurts, Hurts and Hurts. Yesterday he had 17 of the 33 rushes and 61 of the 112 yards rushing. Game before he didn't have many rushes, but the Giants concentrated on Hurts so the receivers went wild. As Hurts goes, so goes the Eagles.
Dallas can beat the Eagles, but it's the same scenario as yesterday - out score the opponent. To do that, they will need to play a near-error free game, have few penalties, run the ball and control the clock, contain Hurts and get at least 2 turnovers deep in Eagles territory.
Tall order....
