Objectivity, anyone?

This place is rapidly becoming a cesspool of negativity and anger. I have seen it bad before but right now it seems to be at an all time high in terms of knee jerk reactions.

Let's start off with Dak. He is a young QB. He isn't playing well, but his line is playing pretty putridly right now. When we forced Romo into retirement it was a mistake. We traded Romo for the shiny more toy and the luster is now worn off the toy. It was a serious mistake but that card has been played so you move on.

Dak had a couple of INTs today and neither were his fault. The turnovers (3) cost us this game as much as anything else. Say whatever you want, it's true.

The receivers are doing fine. That won't be a popular opinion, but it's true. The problem is the OL isn't giving Dak enough time and Dak isn't seeing the field well, so it's a double whammy there.

The defense still played well, but where were all the sacks today? LVE seems to be really coming on. I'll give the defense a pass today but they were not as solid as before.

Seattle was a VERY desperate team and I knew it would be a tough out, especially in Seattle. Seattle is loud and it's a very tough place to play. Having said that we should have won today.

Coaching: Man you guys just ride the hell out of these coaches. Let's be real here--how are the coaches supposed to prevent the INTs and the fumble today.

Randy Gregory. Stupid people generally do stupid things. He is an absolute tool bag. I would try to trade him for something if the opportunity arises and move on from him.

It's a long season. We need to get to 2 and 2 next week and see what happens.

Side note, the Giants looked like a better team today. That win was bigger than it even looked last week. Think the fact that the Giants were 0 and 2 had anything to do with that tenacity?

I'm as frustrated as anyone here. We aren't playing well, at all, but we are not that far off. We need to consider helping out this OL in some way. It's the engine of this offense and right now, its sputtering.
Agreed, Well said
Thank you

Really good post. Everything dead on.

Dak should have played a year behind Romo. Too late now. But he can be a good quarterback in this league if you can protect him.

We’re only in week 3 and I’m not ready to go into hibernation until April. Two immediate changes that MUST be done immediately:

1) We need to run more RBO get those safeties and linebackers hesitating.

2) Conner Williams needs to move out to tackle (or the bench) and move Collins back to guard.

The Lions will be no less desperate next week.
they are giving the pats all that they can handle

No kidding. Seattle's Carson rushed 32 times for 102 yds. That's what wore our defense out. Our defense was hoping to feast on Wilson like they did Eli, but instead they wound up chasing Carson and getting worn out as Wilson used quick throws to avoid the rush. The offense failure in sustaining drives sure didn't help.
That short pass to Carson in the flat all alone for the huge gain was a killer too. Defense, blew that one, no defender was within 20 yards of him. Defense got beat and brokedown on a couple pass plays too.

Objectivity? When was the last time you saw Dak throw the ball when he hit the top of his dropback?
That's actually a really great point. Don't remember actually. Waits for Beasley to be 10 yards open before he even begins to think about throwing it

I like Dak and he seems like a good guy BUT how many weeks starting from last year can someone try to justify his lack of accuracy and awareness?? I mean I get it, u wanna support him but that's too many games where he has looked like the short pass and indecision king. He's no rookie but this is probably what he is or very close. Hoping for a miracle here smh

Smoke and mirrors man, smoke and mirrors. This isn't a good defense. It's an average one that looked good playing a bad Giants offense.

We are not a playoff caliber team, this is not a Super Bowl caliber team. To claim that we are close or are a few bounces away from being what we are not is nuts. Championship caliber teams are not a few bounces away from winning it all, they are teams that don't sit back and wait for the bounces, they create and craft the bounces. They hustle, play hard and keep going. Even when things are not going their way they continue to adjust and plan and scheme. This Cowboy coaching staff starting with the inept Red moron and his OC and QB coach and the DC are not of that caliber.

But there is a bigger problem with this organization and it starts with the cancerous cretin currently residing as the GM of the organization. Until that is fixed there is no moving on or moving forward. Face it, the Dallas Cowboys have seen their best years and what lays ahead is generations of mediocre to terrible football.

The Giants were---Twice.

Yes objectivity, try it sometime.. I can think of 3 passes from today off the top of my head that Dak did just that. The pass to Gallup that he let pop out of his hands, a slant to Thompson and a slant to Beasley. All three were quick passes on rhythm and on target. I get you hate Dak, but there's other reasons to hate Dak without making stuff up.

So that’s three passes out of thirty-four. In a Coryell system that’s so reliant on timing and throwing before receivers make their breaks, three on-time passes won’t cut it. That’s reality. Not hate. I’ve been one of Dak’s most ardent defenders. It would help if you detached your emotions from your analysis.

Well, there's the craziness happening today and it sure applied in our game as well. The first int by Thomas off his shoe, Zeke dropping pass, stepping out of bounds, fumbling and so on. Bills taking down the Vikings, Skins owning the Packers, Lions currently owning the Patriots, Giants winning, Titans taking down Jax. Crazy Sunday.:omg:

Without looking at the all-22 it's hard to say how many of those quick hitting routes are called. Linehan does like to call for a lot of slower developing routes. You said, he never throws from the top of his drop and yet, I named 3 off the top of my head plays that I know he did. There may be others that I don't recall. Slower developing and routes that are covered are not going to be thrown to from the top of the drop. Why not call more slants or inside routes? He and Beasley and Thompson to a degree has shown some chemistry on those type routes, yet are not called very often. Your statement was pure hyperbole and based on agenda not in truth.

When did I say “never”?

When did I say “never”?
Your post was "when was the last time you saw him do that", trying to imply that he wasn't capable and fishing for the typical Dak sucks reply. Instead, he did it multiple times today and you don't like someone called it out. It becomes even more ironic in a thread calling for some objectivity.
