Me, I am cooking...Giants, and after they are burned, they will be Midgets. Then I will toss them in the trash where they belong.

Well.. i'm in a conundrum. I have steaks and ribs marinating at the moment. If I go ahead and grill I will be utilizing stomach space usually reserved for my BEERS!!

My wife is making Frijoles ala Charra (beans with bacon, onions, chile Serrano and tomato), Mexican rice, crispy taco shells made out of homemade corn tortillas. We are having tacos with ground beef, guacamole and all the fixings! Salud!

My wife is making Frijoles ala Charra (beans with bacon, onions, chile Serrano and tomato), Mexican rice, crispy taco shells made out of homemade corn tortillas. We are having tacos with ground beef, guacamole and all the fixings! Salud!

Oh, and BTW, my wife was a HS valedictorian, and honors grad at the University at Texas and she still make homemade tortillas!!!!

It really is, she learned how to cook all of my moms specialties when we got married 26 years ago. Now that my mom is gone, my entire family loves to come over for lunch. Brings back great memories.

There usually is a Luby's near a hospital, that might be a good treat for both of you, if she is allowed to eat anyways. Been there myself
