Randall Cobb’s effort on the 3rd down play was masterful when he threw the player away and made the first down.

Dorance Armstrong is coming folks. He was our best lineman today.

Leighton just knows how to play football. The guy is amazing.

Our defense looked like it was on its heels similarly to the Colts and Rams games from last year. They used our aggressiveness against us.

The Offense doesn’t even look the same. So many weapons. Remember last years opener when we had Zeke and who else?? Wait until Jarwin gets healthier folks!

Might have been Zach’s worst game I’ve seen him play.

Witt is still just as slow.

A nice victory folks. Let’s hope the D gets up to speed as Eli actually looked really good today IMO.

I dont think our defense was very aggressive.

We did play some press coverage on the outside.

I saw a few blitzes. Not many.

It was all 4-2-5 cover.

Very boring.

I thought the LB play was just adequate today, even LVE. Sure they made some plays but also some big mistakes. It was LVE who got caught up on that long Barkley run and then he bit on the TD pass. Smith missed a couple tackles and was out of position on a screen that led to a big play.

As exciting as the O was, I was disappointed in the defense.

Smith played awful today IMO.

We are missing Quinn and Wilson on this defense. I believe those two will provide a boost that we are missing out there. And we need more push up the middle, gotta find another 1-Tech...

I meant our normal scheme of blowing through the line ASAP. The Gents used it against us.

Witten may look slow, but he still was getting open and making catches.

Cobb looked so much better than Beasley.

Defense has a ways to go to get better, overall too. Not just against the run.

If this was considered a slow start for the offense because of no time together in TC and the PS games, and no Zeke. Wait until they do get it in gear. :D

The defense a slow start, with DLaw and Crawford playing for the first time, Byron limited. They have a ways to go.

I wouldn’t say awful but he wasn’t great. I don’t think LVE was great either today.

He made two plays on Eli that were fantastic. Closing speed was awesome.

I have to say I was hoping to see more out of the defense. They did make some big stops and held NY to 10 the late 7 in my view was garbage time TD. Barkley clearly is a load and hard to bring down so I will take nothing away from him but would have liked to have seen the defense get some take aways in the game and better pressure on Eli

The Defense seemed kind of "Sleepy" today. Like they weren't sure what they were supposed to do but also they seemed to wake up as the game went on. I am not giving up on them but I also don't trust them either.

Yes they did. It's usually our offense that starts off that way. Lets all keep in mind it's week 1. Give the D some time to put it together. We've all seen defenses get better as the season progresses. Hopefully this is one of those times. By week 3 we should have Quinn and maybe Gregory back. That's when Dak will throw for 754 yards and 9 TDs. I know it's week one, but that was not an NFL team playing Baltimore today.

Huh? Whatever...If we beat up on the Commanders as easily as we did the Giant then I am all in. Who cares about the Dolphins? LOL..

If we go 3-0 into NO (which everyone including in here states will be a L) I will be inclined to think we have as good of a shot as any team in the league to beat the Saints. They might be WORRIED about the Cowboys at that point... we'll see...

Pollard is in no way, shape or form replacing Zeke. It really would have been a shame to roll into the season with that dynamic look in the passing and not have Zeke in the backfield. That was the biggest take for me.
I'm not sure I'd judge Pollard on his performance today. It was obvious that the Giants were psyched out to stop the run game (especially by the time Pollard took over) which is why the PA pass was unstoppable today.

I'm not getting too worried about the Saints. We haven't even seen them play yet. I'm not going to be going into the game thinking Dallas will lose. The only thing I worry about is exactly what you said. If the Cowboys win easily against the Commanders, what do you think will happen against the Dolphins? If the Saints are as good as people believe them to be, the Cowboys will be going from playing the league's garbage three weeks in a row to one of the best team's in the NFC.

I thought the qb was pretty good :)

Zeke was rusty, but decent enough.

Amari, Gallup and Cobb is crazy good.

Oline was great at pass pro

Offense was crisp and finally played with tempo.

Scheming receivers open, what a novel concept!!

Only negative-Front seven was poor.

Im not sure why people assume we lose to the Saints.
Did everyone forget we beat them last year with basically our defense alone? Dallas proved today our Offense is much improved. Now, give the defense a chance to “gel”.. the Saints will definitely take us seriously and rightfully so.
