According to Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco, wide receiver Terrell Owens will be lining up on the other side of the field from him in 2010.
Ochocinco told Jay Glazer of FSN that he is sure that Owens will become a member of the Bengals for the 2010 season.
Owens only signed a one-year deal with the Bills and it is most likely that he will not be resigned by the Bills since he had one of worst seasons statistically in his entire career.
He will tell you is was due to bad Bills quarterback play and that blame game came out toward the end of the 2009 season, hence Owens probably not staying in Buffalo.
The Bengals, on the other hand, are known for signing outcasts and journeymen to their team in order to give players another chance in the NFL.
That plan worked very well in 2009 since the Bengals won the AFC North Division crown and went to the playoffs.
Can head coach Marvin Lewis not only control Owens, but Ochocinco as well?
Maybe, but one cannot deny the offensive firepower that the Bengals would have with both catching passes.
But what happens when they both don't get the ball enough?
Will they throw down and start fighting in the huddle?
No one knows, but defense would tremble with the thought of having to cover them both.
This is obviously just Ochocinco chatting up the media and Owens has joined in the charade adding that if he does go to the Bengals, then he will change his name to "Ocho Uno."
Even though this is a case of these two talking the talk and having fun with the media, one cannot think of the entertainment that both would bring to the game of football if they were on the same team.

It will be a good a soap opera for a year.

You have to love the Bengals, they have never seen a cast off player they didn't fancy. Is Larry Johnson still on the team?

Any truth to the rumor that they are replacing the walls in the locker rooom with barbed wire?

Or will the Bengals punk this dream by signing Matt Jones instead of Owens?

Bengals interested in ex-Jags WR 2/12/2010 6:20:49 AM

Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports the Bengals and the Tennessee Titans have both offered a contract to former Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Matt Jones. According to a report by the Tennessean, the Titans have been interested in Jones since last September, while Jones visited and worked out with the Bengals this week.

The deal is believed to be slightly above the league minimum of $630,000. Neither team also would not would have to wait until the start of free agency on March 5 to sign Jones since he didn’t play this past season.

While the offers are similar, Jones might have a better opportunity with the Bengals. The Titans have a stable corps of receivers in Justin Gage, Nate Washington and Kenny Britt at wide receiver, while the Bengals are lacking playmakers.

Hmmm...well I could see the Bengals doing both. With the loss of Henry (RIP) and Coles not exactly a great #2 option, I could see them replacing those two with Owens and Jones.

I imagine the Owens and Johnson show would be great, and they'll love eachother, for about a month, maybe a month and a half, and then it will turn to finger pointing, crying about not getting the ball enough, and the team will wind up imploding.

Of course for all I know they could get together, love the tandem, and help the Bengals win a few more games.

Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports via Twitter that he is now reporting former Jaguars wide receiver Matt Jones is signing with Bengals, not the Titans

Let's see....the Bengals already have Tank Johnson. They are looking at Pac Man. Will they sign TO too?

Throw in Chad Johnson and possibly Matt Jones, who has baggage of his own. Toss in Larry Johnson and that's quite a lineup. That's a tinderbox ready to explode.

Carson Palmer better be watching his back.

:lmao:
So iow, the Bengals are the file 13 of the NFL. Sweet.

(Thanks goodness it's not the Boys anymore.)

Just what I was thinking. Whatever teams he goes to he disrupts everything with his narcissism. T.O. is a leach.
