Fully support the cause but as I have said in the past, an entire month of pink is a little too much because it dwindles out towards the end of the month and by the time you get around Halloween, you only see a few players out there and it looks odd.

I really wish they would have the first weekend in October be the designated week and just go all out.

They should just do a Breast Cancer patch on the jerseys. All the pink is just a little to much for me.

I completely agree.

I fully support the cause, but the execution breeds resentment.

oh man they're doing the whole month again?

Pink for cancer is cool with me but some players overdue the pink like they are Camron.

Not a fan of the pink everywhere, it just looks bad. No one I knows donates to breast cancer because those "pink accents make me think about it". Its more about "Pink shoes?"

Noble cause, but I think it would be as effective to do a uniformed patch, either on the back of a helmet or on the shoulders. Pink shoes, gloves, towels just look dumb and dont make the purse strings loosen.

That said, i dont get too worked about it, its just 1/4 ofthe season is visually distracting, usually not in the good way intended

Anything that helps.

Exactly...........this is in support of BREAST CANCER ladies and gentlemen........our lives are too short to focus on a stupid color that has a larger meaning.

Anyone who has had someone in their lives affected by this, will not have any problem with it. I think it is an age thing, the younger generations seem to think they go overboard and the older you get, the less bothered one becomes.

I do agree they need to be on the same page and go to a strict dress code. Everyone needs to wear the same pink piece(s), not mixed and matched, starts to look gaudy. Maybe as each week passes in October, they dwindle it down to a patch which is worn on the shoulder for the rest of the season or something.

I fully support the cause, my mother-in-law beat it many years ago. To this day, my wife's hospital takes out $200.00 a paycheck which is sent to MD Anderson for research, been this way for almost 7 years now with no end in sight for her donations.

I love the pink and have pink laces on my cowboys speed turf Nike sneakers lol I love the whole bca month. Close friend of the family has breast cancer so it's nice to see support from all areas.

Hey, how can anybody be against the cause, as my Mom beat breast cancer a coupled of years back? However, where the NFL is sending the money is another matter. The Komen organization is steeped in controversy for its use of funds (see the book by Karen Handel, a former board member). MD Anderson is a great idea, and I wish the NFL would send it there, instead of an organization that pays overhead for Planned Parenthood among questionable uses of funds.

 No one is against the cause. But people like me don't want to see pink for an entire month either. Maybe a week, a couple maybe but for an entire month? No.

It's WAY over the top. Nice sentiment, but it needs to be curtailed drastically. The games become very distracting to watch. Put the ribbon on the field, and have the players wear a patch. That would accomplish the point well.

No one is against the cause. It's just over the top and too long.

What about domestic violence, Make-a-wish, disabled veterans, MS, MD, Alzheimers, etc, etc, etc.

It's a terrific sentiment that just needs to be reeled in a bit.

Um, what do any of those have to do with womens' breasts? And let's face it, this is precisely the reason so many male-dominated industries are so willing to commit so much to this cause. Yes, it's not the politically correct thing to say...

...but deep down, you know it's true. Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death among women, not breast cancer. But it doesn't get nearly the same amount of publicity. Hmmm, wonder why?

When it comes to something like this, there is no such thing as too much. my wife and I have been doing both the Komen walks for 6 or 7 years now. My wife was even talking about doing the 3 day at the beginning of the year. She went for her routine Dr.'s appt in Feb., and he asked her if she had had a mammogram. She said no, and he sid "What are you waiting for?" She went and had it done in late Feb.On March 13 she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. On May 9 she had a double mastectomy with reconstruction. Luckily,it was detected early so no chemo or radiation. Just pills for the next 5 years. So I think I can put up with one month of pink a year.:pink:

And although all cancers rank high combined, heart disease is the leading cause of death in women. Link

In 2007, there were 1,200,336 deaths of women aged 18 and older in the United States. Of these deaths, nearly half were attributable to heart disease and malignant neoplasms (cancer), which were responsible for 25.5 and 22.4 percent of deaths, respectively.
