O'Cyrus Torrence: I'm the most dominant interior OL in the draft

The 6-foot-5, 336-pound Torrence is not known for his athleticism, turning in so-so testing numbers at the combine and reportedly running a 8.13-second three-cone drill, which would put him in the bottom 20th percentile for that workout. But following a strong season in the SEC and a quality performance at the Senior Bowl, Torrence figures to be a top-50 selection at worst.

Torrence, however, sold himself as one of the best players at his position in this draft class. As for why he should be the top lineman drafted, he told Pelissero: "Because I'm the most dominant interior offensive lineman in the draft, and I feel like any team that gets me will get a Day 1 starter and someone who is ready to play. Somebody who is going to take it like a pro and give it all you got."

If it's all about putting pieces around Dak/adding weapons on offense - we could do alot worse !

My opinion, and that doesn't count for much around here. I believe this guy will be a lot like Erik Williams in his brutality and mauling defenders. This is the pick at 26 if he drops.

Dak needs an extra tick to do his job. That is not negative. It is what it is. Build an offensive line that opens holes - Torrence is a savage at run blocking - and protection for the QB.
Last year Dallas took Tyler Smith. People were skeptical. Until he showed up.

Torrence will be the same guy this year.

I think concensus wise, we on the board would take him - I would have no problem with it. But would the F.O. ?
Not sure, but yes - even slow of foot, he would maul people to death, and if he became anywhere close to Big Cat, it would be a home run !

Oh absolutely. Nothing is wrong with that. I’m a big fan of Avila
Me too...............I like Avila because he can play either guard or center and he has enough speed to pull and get to the second level in the run game, something that is questionable with Torrence.

If both are there at 26 and I was forced to pick one of the two, I would go with Avila.

we need a powerhouse roadgrader left guard that can get to the second level and that big te washington from georgia and the fullback from north dakota state then draft one of these running backs that can fly in the 4th round and run game might be scary , fix the run game draft

If you give me a 3rd to trade down to 31/32 I’d take him there for sure, and then I’d combo that new third and trade up in the 2nd for Washington. Unstoppable run game
I get why picking a primarily blocking TE at 26 is a questionable decision. I struggle with it too. BUT I don't think a lot of fans are really thinking about Washington flanking either of our Tackles. Edges would be secured.

To your point, yes if could pull off your trade down & net both I would be ecstatic.
