Given that the Giants are clearly in rebuild mode, what are the odds that they reach a SB before the Cowboys do?
If the Cowboys don't make it within the next couple of seasons, NY may be rebuilt by then and contending while we are waning.

Everyone is always in rebuild mode every year. I love what they did. Got rid of an overpaid prima donna WR that is a cancer and never plays a full season.

Cleared up 18 million per year in cap space and got a top 15 pick and a 3rd rounder for their troubles. Shored up the Oline by trading for the 6th ranked guard in the NFL last year. Their biggest weakness.

They have the 6th pick and the 15th pick in the first round. They are transitioning to being a run first offense. As soon as that line is quality, there will be nobody to stop that RB. No one could stop him last year and the line was bad.

They are rebuilding the passing game. Lets hope that takes a while.

There is no doubt the Giants make it back to the SB before Dallas. Dallas will not make it back until Jerry and son sell the team and that is not going to happen anytime soon. Isn;t it clear by now that Jerry and son are not going to spend money on players if they think they are overpaying? The problem is they think overpaying is at a level under what the rest of the league will pay. The lost Beasley. They are unable to sign Lawrence to a long term deal. And they have some other players next year who will surely depart for free agency. Byron Jones? Maliek Collins? La'el Collins?

The problem is not just losing those players. The problem is the Cowboys will lose them and look for inexpensive alternatives who aren't as good. They get close, then fall back.

Isn't it inevitable that Dallas will overpay Dak and Zeke, become cap strapped and then wind up unable to sign their own players? If I ask myself, will Dallas be a contender or drop back to 3rd in the division over the next 3 years, I cannot help but think they will fall behind in their own division before they contend again.

More teams are going to blow by the Cowboys. I have no doubt about that. Even the Giants who look like they are in disarray. Eagles were in disarray too.

Don't sleep on the Giants. The plan isn't to make a run next year. Gittelman is only in his second off season and is doing exactly what he needs to do in order to rebuild that team and get out from under the mess left to him.

OBJ sure has a lot of fans in the media. Why continue paying him when his huge contract only got them 3 wins last year? A WR is of no use without a good QB. I was shocked they landed a 1st and 3rd for him given his huge salary and inability to stay healthy. That was nice work. They didn't resign Collins b/c safety isn't where you start a rebuild. You need cap space and draft picks to rebuild the right way on the OL and DL's. In addition, Zeitler upgrades their OL which has been their achilles heal for years. They won't miss the 33 year old Vernon or his 15.5 million dollar annual salary.

Sadly, only one of those guys is even remotely at risk of losing his job...ever.

Jerry when he passes?

17th pick

This is what got you guys in this mess in the first place. Maybe the cowboys should pay more attention to what other people are doing.

They already reached the SB before the Cowboys, twice. And won the SB before the Cowboys, twice. With Eli, twice. 2007/2011

I guess it depends on who will get their franchise QB first.
