None of those DEs are 1st round talents in my book. Nate Orchord is much better than those guys. I like them all but I think they are all 2nd round picks.
Also not a fan of Hodges in this scheme. Where would he play?
I like the rest of the draft picks. I would like to see a FS over Hodges.

you know I am not a big fan or any of the DF's myself but we need some one

so it might be a CB or S in the first

Dante Fowler will almost certainly be a 1st rounder.. I would be shocked if he wasn't. Speed edge-rushers are at a premium right now and he's one of the best in the draft.

Same with Shane Ray of Missouri.

Fowler I agree. But fowler never gets home. He gets pressure but never makes the play. That's why he is 2nd rounder for me. Late 1st at best.
Shane Ray is better at 34 OLB. He is alot like Sam from last year. He is undersized and bad vs the run. Never played OLB so 34 teams might be reluctant to draft him early.

We need, hopefully is if DLaw is all that, a SDE. Fowler can be that. To me Nate Orchord is a much better player overall than those 2 above

if Romo's back forces him to be done here's my mock draft:

Trade all picks to #1, draft Mariota. Hard to imagine a better version of Kapernick behind our OL who is much faster and a better passer.

The scoop: "Nate Orchard is best suited to play outside linebacker at the next level. He's not a true defensive end." -- NFC personnel director

The skinny: Orchard had always been a down defensive end, but Utah is giving him opportunities to play standing up this season. His production (6.5 career sacks entering the year, 11 already this season) will garner looks from NFL teams. Scouts we're hearing from seem pretty lukewarm on his NFL potential. He's been compared to Michael Sam, who had seven sacks in his first three seasons at Missouri before compiling 11.5 as a senior.

8 disagree with the Orchord is a OLB only in the NFL. He has the size and strength to play DE in a 43. He is my favorite

have to agree super

what I saw tonite is that Nate Orchard, DE UTAH is probably will be around our pick

and moves into the late 1 st round

at least this kid actually moves around I hope we go get him

same size as Demaecus

He just plays fast and quick. Quick off the line and can play the run.
I think after the combine and workouts he will move into the mid 1st
