The NFL won't schedule the Saints on T-Day. I think it will be the Bears because that looks to be the least popular matchup.

They could schedule any game they wanted and get people to watch on that day.

Won't be an NFCE team because those are ratings bonanzas. Won't be the Saints because that will be a huge rematch.

I think it will be Chicago.

I think our openner will probably be on the road again, maybe in New York to open their new stadium. Too bad we always lose to the Giants.

I would not be surprised to see Barber traded for a 1st round pick, somewhere in the top 5 or 10.... in that scenario, I could see Jerry trading down to 15-20, pick up additional later-round picks, get a stud OLman still, and still have the #27 1st round pick for another OLman...or maybe RB/WR/S.

I hate to break the news to you, but Barber has basically no trade value. I'd be surprised with his contract, injuries and production the past two yrs if we could even net a 7th rd pick for him.

You didnt list Holland, who I believe is our only true unresticted free agent. Unless a new CBA is in place before free agency starts this yr (which looks impossible) then everyone we have will be a RFA or EFA, so we wont have any issues keeping people IMO.

I hate the new draft format. I liked it just the way it was.

I dont know why Goodell insists on messing with a good thing. The draft was superb the way it was.

I enjoyed spending my weekends watching the NFL draft, this is just a joke of a format.

Goodell sux in a lot of ways, not just because of what they did with the draft.

Some of the guys ideas are just ridiculous IMO, and in the opinion of alot of other people.

Goodell was following orders to hype the draft more and to do that you have to go prime time. Hate it myself but TV revenue is king and whatever THEY want the NFL will do.

Hes making player safety a priority, the rookie wage scale is coming, 16-17 Thursday night games a year, NFLN. 18 reg. season games plus hopefully an extra bye.

Didn't they eat TO's contract on this years cap? So there should be quite a big number coming off the books correct?

I actually think the 18 regular season games is a stupid idea. Teams can barely keep enough good players healthy for 16 games that matter, doing it for 18 is gonna be borderline impossible. The end result is you'll see more and more mediocre teams win championships because of attrition more than being "good"

There will be extra roster spots available.

And theyre also taking away 2 preseason games. Starters play about 5 Q's in pre-season. W/ 2 preseason games itll be down to about 3. 1 dress rehearsal, and another game to evaluate.

And who did we lose this year? Hamlin for a few games and Colombo for a few more. Thats about it.
