He's such a liability for this team, you take the cap hit and move on. He is that bad.

Dead cap for 2021 is $9.4 million. That's a bit too high for a player who is able to get on the field and does make plays, albeit not as many or as well as we'd like. Next year it will be more manageable. Besides, maybe he's having more trouble with Nolan's defensive scheme than most and another off season will help that.

This has been such a crazy year that you have to be careful with who you release....

I noted you forgot stats don't mean sheet. "third in tackling" means NOTHING...all by itself. Just like "1st in passing yards" gets you booted off the team and lucky to get a backup job...3rd string even.
