Right up until the part where he got cut anyway...

Panthers | Fonoti down to 340 pounds
Mon, 05 May 2008 21:46:20 -0700
Charles Chandler, of the
Charlotte Observer, reports
Carolina Panthers OG
Toniu Fonoti appears fit and said he now weighs 340 pounds, less than he has at anytime since college. Team officials are thrilled with Fonoti and are hoping he has learned from his mistakes. He has made an impression with his dedication in the weight room.
He has a good history with Hudson Houck and was once considered "the next Larry Allen". He's still only 27 years old and I think he'd be a good fit in Dallas' power-line.
At worst, I think he'd do a better job than Cory Procter.
