Yes, "next" would have been better. I meant last, as in "final", but that is kind of unclear.

Thanks for pointing that out. I've fixed it now in the subject line of the OP, but can't seem to fix it for the main BB thread title. Maybe the mods will see this and fix it?

Sorry man but this is what the Joe Morgans of baseball said about sabermetrics and there is no coincidence that Morgan is now in the announcers booth.

Fact is that certain stats correlate to winning. The fat that were are 3rd in both offense and defense is HUGE. The last team to win a SB without being top 8 in both was Baltimore and they had the top ranked defense before that was even larger. You look at stats such as turnover margin and winning percentage and there is a tremendous correlation.

Looking at these stats I come to one conclusion: We dont turn the ball over and were playing Chicago in late January for a shot at the Super Bowl.

I know dont drink the koolaid balh blah blah. The historical trends with these types of stats hold up.
