Offense has to become more successful against shell coverage!

Hold on. On that link it says his strength is….

When pocket is clean, can deliver accurate strikes around the field. Played with improved vision and care for football this season and eliminated many of the ill-fated throws that turned into interceptions in 2014. Kind of contradicts what you initially said.
You do realize all QB's play better with a clean pocket?

Dak has a higher career completion % than Mahomes.

I guess QB's like Kurt Warner were not very good either, since Dak beats pretty much all of his career numbers in a similar amount of games.

With more TD's and 46 less interceptions than SB Warner.

And a very limited QB. There’s no offense Dak makes a run in the playoffs in. It baffles me how some still think there is.
My goodness....you guys make it seem Dak has never been to the playoffs. Granted, he's lost more than he's won but why take it to the extreme as if he's never won. Hell, I admit, he's testing my confidence in postseason play, but he has SOME success.

Not even sure why you replied this to me. I never said Dak or KW wasn’t any good you are confused.

It also says, “Accuracy on intermediate and deep throws dropped sharply. Pocket poise has been compromised.” This bolsters what I said. Of course, to get that far in the text, you’d have to read the Weaknesses section and risk cognitive dissonance.

Again, Dak is not a bad quarterback. He’s a good quarterback with deficiencies that tend to show up against better competition and certain defenses. No shame in admitting it.

They said that in response to his last season it his college career. His deficiencies tend to show up in the playoffs against the 49ers and this last Packers game. Won’t argue that.

Success is defined in different ways by different people. Dak is so limited.

So doe every other QB.

Very easy to defend a one dimensional attack. Dowdle did finally give them balance, but they still weren’t able to run the football against the better teams. This has been the offseason focus by management. I am opportunistic that the run game will be better this yr and have defenses more off balanced
Guess it was definitely better but my point was they had to sacrifice their tight ends going out into coverage in order to get that accomplished and that shouldn't happen... And also two total touchdowns by a running back all year that had almost 1100 yards on the ground is why he's not here and why I disagree with people that think we should have resigned him he's not dynamic not a lot of long runs I think we can get that from just about any back on this roster given health and carries... Rico only had one good year and it was last year that's a red flag you don't keep a guy like that you just try again with others....

Anyway you want to spin it…

Mahomes

Dak
We know Mahomes is a special QB, but he also did struggle against shell coverage. Chiefs offense just isn't as explosive these days cause defenses have adjusted. They win more with their run game and Mahomes doing a tremendous job on the money down, not only with his arm but also his legs.

exactly. if they can stop the run with front 4 or 5, then they can drop 6 or 7 into coverage which makes passing very difficult. force them to move 6 or 7 into the box to stop the run and you can attack them like you said.
That has worked throughout the history of the game. Many just kill Dak, but you put other QB's in the same situation you will have similar results.

Other QBs, yes but not elite QBs. Dak just isn't good enough... just like "other" QBs. ;)
