miles austin looks finished. Idk. He should of sat this week and played his way into the line up. Yeah i know he almost scored a touchdown but come on he didn't get open for nothing. Beas played half his snaps and got open. How about more beas in the slot and less miles. And terrance willaims....what a freaking catch for the touchdown.

Miles Austin should of been benched and had to work his way back into the starting lineup. He looks slow and disinterested. He needs to get that fire and hunger back.

At least he didn't seem to take away opportunities from Williams. I like Miles enough as a person to keep playing him only if it means it won't take away opportunities for others

That's what injuries will do to you. I think at his prime he's still the second best receiver we've got, but he can't seem to shake the injury bug.

Luckily we have a strong stable of young receivers. Always loved Miles -- have since we picked him up in free agency. I was one of the lone members of Team Austin in the Hurd vs. Austin debates, but he's just not getting it done.

He does appear to be passive out there. He waits for the ball to come to him. Remember when he would snatch the ball out of the air and have amazing RAC? I miss that Miles.

Whatever. I'm happy young players are earning looks. And I really like the production we're getting out of the spread offense. It's fun to watch, and it's just going to get better. I'd like to see Harris get some looks there, though.

I really liked Miles, but I think it's just time to move on.

Same here, I'll give him some latitude because he is coming off injury but I thought several times during this game that the money the Cowboys offer him in renegotiate his contract after his year went down - twice.

I'll still give him more time though, some hamstring injuries are more painful than listening to the Bob Costas babble at halftime.

I'm with a lot of posters in the fact that I have had a lot of praise for Miles Austin. I believed he was a top 5 WR at one point. At this point I do think he is slowing things down for our offense. I think having Beasley in the slot is much more effective than having Austin out there, and Williams is simply a playmaker.

I think he along with a lot of other players i.e. ratliff, ware, spencer need to simply be gone next year.

There is a lot of money tied into these players, and we're just not getting anything out of them. It's time to move on.

he looked tentative to me...probably wanting to make sure he did re-injure himself...who knows...this is a full speed league so he had better step it up this coming week...

btw, every time Beasley caught a pass and didn't get out of bounds, it looked to me like they were ganging up on him...it is probably just the "big brother" aspect coming out of me trying to protect the little guy, but I cringed some times hoping he would bounce up (and he did of course)

He either wasn't going full speed because he was afraid he would hurt himself or he was disinterested because he can see the writing on the wall that TWill has turned the corner and is pushing him out. Either way, his time is coming to an end and if he plays that way again, I'd give Beasly and Harris all the slot reps and get Escobar ready to fill in wide at WR if needed. Keeping guys in the lineup week after week who play liked Austin did, is one of the reasons this team has underachieved so bad in the past. Maybe they didn't have someone to replace that player with but at WR, they do now and should not put up with less than 100%.

I smell a trade. Have to make Austin look good to get some value for him. I would be happy with a 3rd round pick and a DL depth guy. Jets? NE? 49ers? GB?

I don't know but I'm really starting to like that spread look. Could we be seeing the end of all this "12" package look?

He did from Dwayne Harris still. Who, IMO has earned the right to play as well as should be 3rd in depth, with Austin behind him. He is an afterthought at this point.

Dwayne will see rare snaps on O because of what he did and has done in the past on special teams. Not just returning, he may be the best gunner in the league on punt coverage.

Harris is not a WR you can depend on.

This is the anyone but Miles song.

We need to allow him to rest and rehab them hammy's. He should sit on the innactive list along with Ratliff for the remainder of the season. Maybe they trade Rat for a warm six pack and no one will notice. But seriously, Austin is done. All he is now is expensive insurance.
