if the Eagles have a weakness— its their cornerbacks.

I would exploit that by going with a short passing game to mitigate their pass rush. I would put Switz and Beasley on the field at the same time and throw short option routes at the slot all day.

Precise, quick, dink and dunk is how I would start out moving the ball... move the pocket, get Dak on the edge and stress them with his legs, let him run— then when they creep up to play his runs— THEN you burn them over the top to Butler and Dez.

There are plays to be made against this Philly D... and I believe if we start out hot we can plant a seed of doubt in their minds, and gain some much needed confidence for our team

I agree but I think the offensive game plan is centered around whether or not Smith plays. If he can't go, I think a lot of attention will be helping Bell or Green with extra TEs......

Quick passing game would mitigate their passrush... We have to adapt our identity as an offense to succeed without Zeke and Smith.

This coaching staff is stubborn and slow to adjust anything though lol. I can only hope they got scared straight after last week lol

Thought it was confirmed days ago Smith wasn't playing?

To be honest we haven't seen much of the quick Beasley passing. Hell, he lead the team in receiving last year......

I know. Teams have doubled him and are daring us to beat them with Dez and our other weapons and we have not been able to adjust.

This is where some creativity with Switzer would help. He is “Beasley-lite”. You cant double both of them... get em out there together and give the D another wrinkle to worry about.

Exactly but the question isn't Switz playing? My guess either they don't trust him or they don't wanna take plays from Witten....

He doesn’t get many looks that’s a fact. Witten is still reliable to move the chains when he gets targeted.

This offense seems fixated on working Dez into the mix and the gears are grinding a bit.

Switzer has been a giant disappointment. He fumbled and now he looks like a guy just trying not to make a mistake. I really thought he would of made more of an impact.

He does not get enough snaps on offense. Is it because he sucks-- or is it because the coaching staff refuses to change up an out-dated scheme that is dependent on multiple TE sets?

IMO-- we have to deploy ur weapons in a different way-- shake things up. Teams know how to defend us now-- especially without Zeke. It's nice when you have a power running game to depend on and teams can't stop it even when they know exactly what's coming.

That's not the case now with Zeke suspended and Tyron not 100%. We need to give them something else to think about.

Smith isn’t playing.

I expect us to either have the lead or be tied at half time.

Eagles will adjust to our game plan and in true Garrett fashion we won’t make any adjustments, and we’ll see multiple 3 and outs in the 2nd half then blame the defense for giving up 30 points and the “fire marinelli” threads will emerge

Bryant has played well against the Eagles recently. The Cowboys need to get back to throwing to the open receiver that was their strength last year. Not so easy without Smith and Elliott.

Bring in Looney at TE to help our LT and run the ball rigjt at then. They will be sending the house and get caught. 3 man routes are all we need against an attacking defense. We won' have time for a four man progression anyway.

We don't have a "Joke" forum, otherwise this thread would be in there...no disrespect to the OP, just to the coaching staff that makes ZERO adjustments at all times...they script everything...why on God's "green" earth were there no adjustments at LT until it was too late? and I am talking about lining the TE up on that side...if you look at the Rams game and others, we have the lead at half time, the other team makes adjustments, our coaching staff makes none, and we lose....it is pathetic just how poor this coaching staff is when they don't have 100% health and/or when there is the slightest amount of adversity...so, when the title thread says "Offensive Adjustments", I almost got whiplash from shaking my head back and forth

te starts out wide and comes in motion towards green, at the snap he cracks on who ever is about to abuse green, then drags across . lots of rolling out and boot legs. stay out of the pocket for slow developing longer route plays..use daks legs to gain more time and run if its there.

BTB: If you were the offensive and defensive coordinator for the Cowboys, how would you scheme for this game?

BGN: If I was the Cowboys’ offensive coordinator, I’d be looking to scheme around the fact that Tyron Smith likely won’t be playing at left tackle. This Eagles defense is generating the most pressures in the NFL, per Pro Football Focus, so having Dak Prescott hold onto the ball just doesn’t seem like a viable strategy. Quick passing game. Screens. Bootlegs to the right to move the pocket away from the left side. There’s not a whole lot about the Cowboys’ offense that scares me right now, but Prescott’s mobility is definitely a weapon that must be accounted for. I’d plan some designed runs for Dak and try to keep this Eagles defense honest.

If I was the Cowboys’ defensive coordinator, I would try to get DeMarcus Lawrence matched up on Vaitai. Lawrence is obviously having a great year rushing the passer and Vaitai is the weak point of the Eagles’ offensive line. Pressuring the quarterback is typically key in any matchup. For Dallas to have a chance to win, they need to try to get Wentz rattled and force him into mistakes. Maybe throw some different blitz looks at him early in the game.

As to the Eagles, they pretty well don't fear anything that the Cowboys have on offense...right now.

I agree. Especially with Zeke out, Why not try some new things? And not Jet Sweeps with Switzer but hopefully watch him catch some passes
