Offensive coordinators

It’s pretty unrealistic to get a brand new OC from outside the organization mid season. Not going to happen.

We are just going to have to sit back and watch the train wreck

If things continue south my guess is Linehan gets the axe mid season, Garrett takes over play-calling with one last chance to save his job.

New head coach and offensive coordinator next year.

Firing the head coach or a coordinator in season is not a recipe for success. Unless the team out and out quits on this coaching staff, they will remain in place at least through the season.

Boy, I'm glad the season has been officially been declared over after one week. Saves the trouble of tuning in for the remaining 15 games.

Not sure it gets any worse than Scottie "Same Plays" Linehan.
Linehan is crap, but he didn’t cost your team a Lombardi by being “too cute”.
Last 3 years I would have traded Darrell “failed bubblescreen” Bevell for SL straight up even though Linehan is horrible. We would have been trading one disaster for other but at least it would be a different idiot for both teams. :)

if garrett and linehan are finally fired and richard becomes hc, who is out there that can be hired mid-season for offensive coordinator?

lets assume we are not out of it so there is still a point to get someone better than a caretaker oc.
And when the players don’t execute that OCs plays? This was not like last year where no one was schemed to get open. The players didn’t execute. The problem with having a team reliant on the OL is the OL isn’t usually at full speed until week 3 or 4

I get it, all the asylum inmates escaped and commandeered unsecured computers.
The place has run amok. Call 911 I just cant

I wonder if Jerry has this all set up

to fire Garrett at the end of the year

Linehan bye

hire a O line coach Alexander 23 seasons Cincinnati - loser at least give Columbo a chance

Sanjay Lal coached wide receivers in Indianapolis in 2017 worked with the receivers for the Oakland Raid- ers (2007-11), N.Y. Jets (2012-14) and Buffalo Bills (2015-16).

Stellar group NOT

and say bye to Marinelli

and hire Kris Richards as HC

Richard reportedly interviewed with the Colts for a head-coaching job on Friday. This is coming off of three seasons as Seahawks' DC, during which the Seahawks ranked second, fifth and 11th in total defense.

DC Kris Richard would be allowed out of his contract for another opportunity, sources say. He's had a long relationship with Pete Carroll, who believes Richard would benefit from experiencing something new.

This is all hypothetical because its very unlikely to happen, however lets say the cowboys go 0-6 or something what would I do. I would demote Garrett to OC for two reasons one demoting him is worse than firing him and second your not going to change offensive systems mid season and no one else would be able to come in mid season and learn our system. Richard becomes head coach. Garrett is now forced to prove he can still be an effective OC or no one else will hire him and he might end up coaching High School ball. Next year you hire a young OC to implement his system. Fire Linehan and the QB coach. This is really your only options if this year turns into a dumpster fire.

Former TE Dan Campbell. Schooled by Parcells as a player and when Campbell began coaching. Google him up and read about how he's viewed by some NFL brass/executives. I think he'd be a great head coach but we would still need a new OC. If Marinelli decides to call it a career, Richard slides right in.

This question makes no sense. Why would Jerry fire JG and Scott if the team is still in the hunt. You can’t hire from other staffs in season. No way you can bring in someone from the outside no time for players to learn new offense and doubt outside OC wants Scott’s playbook. They start putting in the offense back in mini camps. Scott and JG are not high on my list but I’d rather have one of them than anybody else on this staff. Only two ways I see a firing JG gets fired Scott, Rod or Kris becomes HC Scott is OC or Scott gets fired and JG calls the plays.
