Offensive Expectations For Tomorrow

The general consensus I am feeling from the board is that the reins will be loosened tomorrow and the offense given a chance to play a little.

I'm sorry but I don't think that is going to happen at all.

Parcells was pissed last year with the way that Vinny performed when they told him to go out there and run the game. Admittedly Vinny had less weapons at his diposal and no running game at all, but I think all the interceptions and big losses have decided what we will see on offense for this whole year.

But for 5 minutes on Monday Parcells conservative offense and power defense had the Commanders sewn up. But for two plays Parcells vanilla offense delivered him what he wants, the result.

If you think that two plays and a loss is going to wipe out his memories of last year throwing games away by relying on trying to make better plays and allowing the quarterback to play, I think you are mistaken.

Just my opinion but I think we will see more short passing, screens and dunks. It's going to be more of the same from here to the end of the season.

Its a shame as I think this offense is capable of much more, Bledsoe is not Interceptorverde and with our WR's healthy and Julius to deal with we could tear apart some poor defenses. Bottom line, last season decided what our offense will be like this season. Parcells made his mind up already and he'll stick with that decision regardless of one freak loss.

I think we open it up a bit. Once Bledsoe proves he can play more wide open and still not shoot himself in the foot, Parcells will alow more and more.
That said, in tough defensive games Parcells will reel Bledsoe back in.

Man JJ will probably have an outstanding game. we may be technically calling more conservative plays, but if Julius has another 150 yard game. With a couple TDs. We'll throw on them in between. Don't worry about the offense, worry about Tim Rattay and if he's found religion.

I think we will open up a little but if JJ is making big gain we will stick to the run

Bledsoe needs to make more shots down field. I think we overreacted a tad to Skin blitzes and pass rush. They never touched the statue.

41-12 Dallas

I think we need to score at least 28 and hold San Fran to no more than 10 points.

I honestly think we're going to open it up this w/e. What better time to do it than against the last rated pass defense in the league? (379.5/yds.game - NFL.com). They're 21st against the run, allowing 114.5/yds.game. This particular stat will take a nose dive after JJ gets done with them. You've gotta know the kids itching to have a breakout game...

We open it up early and often and in the second half settle down into a more traditional Parcells ball control offense.

I'm thinking we put up alot of points against these guys.

I give Bledsoe 350+....but the game will come down to dallas defense.

I honestly have no idea how we'll look. Two games in is very difficult to gauge just how good/bad/average we are.

I like what I've seen from our OL and Bledsoe. I haven't seen the Niners, so I have no idea how we'll do. Every now and then every team has a "stinker" on offense and defense. But it seems that every team has an "explosion" from both.

I think, of all the games the Niners are facing, they view this as their biggest and the one with the most potential for a win.

They'll be up for this game. I think they're going to "jailbreak" blitz us until we burn them. We're going to have to be prepared.

Hopefully, we'll make them pay for blitzing. Maybe JJ can take some runs around the end when they blitz up the middle.......

The 49ers ain't the skins on D. We will open it up more. Period.

I agree. I think we'll see at least 2 long balls to Glenn (which is a lot coming from this team at this time).

I think we spread the field a lot more this week.

Book it (as 'he' says).

;)

JJ to have a HUGE day as well.

If we don't put up at least 28 points I will see that as being a major slap in the face of this offense.

If we can put 28 on SD.....then we should be able to do the same against the 49ers.

the only way we score alot of points is if San Fran wants to gun it with us......I don't see a blow out....

Bill will play field position all day.....its his MO.......special tems and solid defence....unless of course if JJ rips a couple of long runs.
