Or just reset to when OL was dominating.

With CW at LG and McGovern at FB.

All the OL movement for the sake of movement has been a disaster.

It was going bad with Connor Williams. At least now our left guard isn’t committing 5 penalties a game.

Wins is all I care about.

Cowboys may have been penalized but they could keep Dak clean AND open running lanes.

Horrible analysis. Start over and try again.
He's right. You're wrong bro.

I've been saying this same thing about our Oline being so piss poor bad since Week 1, especially on the inside, that you couldn't handle my comments which led to personal attacks and name calling. There was no need for that from both of us. The truth is this Oline is very bad, especially inside. Biadasz is not the answer at Center. It all starts with the Center. The Oline goes as the Center goes, and Biadasz has been terrible in both run & pass blocking, plus his technique is bad. He goes straight up instead of staying low and firing out. The same goes for most of our Oline. They stand straight up instead of firing out while staying low and driving. They are being coached wrong.

I like this topic but can't add any insight as to who should be starting and at what position.
But it seems when Williams got demoted, the line was not it's "dominate" self. Then Ty goes
down and multi changes brought chaos and no chemistry, left hand not knowing what the right
hand is doing. Don't know where this best OL in NFL came from but sure doesn't look it. Did
we just blow smoke?

What's the best line the Boys can put out?

Man when I KNOW I don't have the answer I ain't gonna pretend.

The OL is one thing......but these WR can't SEPARATE. Why not?

Coop and Lamb were back.

What's different? What happened?

This exact group better get Mojo and quickly...they can't be any longer, the group that sneeks in. Smith and Martin should prove why they were Pro Bowlers and Collins needs to now show why he was graded very strongly last season, but now is no more than a projection!

Collins is likely cut after the season is over.

no way they pay him 10 million to be a backup.

Means absolutely nothing. Cowboys fans voting for Cowboys players doesn't win games. If it did we'd have some SB wins this century.
I know that just thought it was funny

The Oline is playing terrible. As far as Biadasz, you arent allowed to judge lineman anymore you have gotten so much wrong of late.

FYI.....................Did you know who is #1 in the NFC in pro bowl voting for centers? :muttley:

I think the continued shuffling of the OL, Philbin being out for 2 games due to Covid and just the in and out of the offense has hurt the cohesiveness. Even our HOF OL Smith and Martin are making mistakes.

I'm disappointed, but I really think the 10 days off will probably be extraordinarily beneficial.

Offensive line currently sucks. Not sure what the reason is but it sucks in run blocking and pass blocking.

I think we have been up in down with the in season changes at two position then being without Joe Philbin the past two games has hurt this unit greatly. They seem to be a bit confused on how to handle inside TE stunts or delayed blitzes, or twist by the defensive lines that are attacking us. I personally do not understand what happened but the moment we had to move Steele the line has been influx I think they need to play together to get that cohesive unit feel back they had prior to Tyron getting injured.

Excellent post. And you're much more knowledgeable than me.

But it appears to me, things got confused when Tyron went out, Lael came back, and they moved Steele to LT.

Also the switch from Williams to McGovern may have stopped some penalties, but hurt the line overall.

Yeah I've noticed that too. Our WRs really are struggling to get open. Dak is having to throw into some extremely tight windows and even when he gets a chance to extend the play 4, 5, or 6 seconds it seems like no one can even shake free to give him a target down field.

My best guess is that it is somewhat a symptom of the loaded coverage teams are trotting out against us. Teams are manning up on our wide receivers on the outside and providing safety over the top help on our best one or two receivers depending on the down. We are seeing 6 or more man boxes at the lowest rates in the league. Another thing that is happening is that teams are not blitzing us very often (some of the lowest rates in the league the last 6 weeks) realizing they can get adequate pressure and stop the run with just 4 down linemen however when they do blitz it has been very effective against this line. All of this adds up to a very unfavorable situation for passing. Quite frankly we are struggling to find places to go with the ball right now because teams are just going to play it that way. They are now taking away the pass realizing that we can't run even against favorable numbers in the box. If we can't get things figured out on the line and get at least some sort of a rushing attack jumpstarted this team is really going to struggle against the better teams in the league.

The Broncos were the first to play high percentages of man coverage, refrain from blitzing, and play us with 6 or fewer man fronts most downs. It is now apparent that the Broncos did indeed provide a blueprint for defeating our offense. So what does this defensive philosophy being deployed against us add up to? The big plays in the passing game are going to be limited due to safety help and 5 or 6 defensive backs on the field much of the time. The screen game will be limited due to the amount of defenders that can rally to the ball from the secondary. We are going to struggle to get men open against the number of defenders deployed in the secondary even in extended play scenarios. The bottom line is the only way this offense is going to resurge is if we can get the run game going at an acceptable level that forces teams to at least being another one or two defenders into the box.

Anyone using Pro Bowl voting (fans are who vote) to support their argument for a player should not be posting.

Wanted to start a thread similar to yours but now I don't have to. You nailed it pretty much. This line simply is not the line of old. They certainly are not the best in the bidness as often gets spilled out of commentators mouths. That nonsense needs squelched stat. We go as this line goes and drafting heavy on the oline should be a priority. Nice post to the OP!

The way Biadasz has been playing, he won't even sniff a Pro Bowl unless he pays to go sit in the stands. You should join him. lol
