Who is calling Rush a messiah...personally I think he's terrible. Looked solid today after a week of practice with the starters though.
Lumping you in with the general peanut gallery here.

My apologies.

I thought he was terrible this preseason too. I can't bag on him though. He is performing as a back up qb and that is all we need from him.

I'm sure you do, handiman lol. I'm happy as hell with the win, just know stupidity when I read it. who has a better pass rush between the bengals and bucs? just curious
Glad you're happy. Bucs have a better pass rush. Not arguing that, but you cannot deny that Rush was much more poised in the pocket even when under pressure. I mean, maybe you will, but that's not what I saw. Rush sucks fwiw.

1 sack today. The offensive line every Dak Stan likes to blame looked just fine with a qb that doesn't have happy feet and deer eyes.
Not a Dak stan, but we obviously ran the ball more today (which we should have done game one. We were gashing them). Tampa is also a much better defense. Dak played like trash that game, but the play calling certainly did nothing to help him. Cooper played well. Hats off to my fellow ginger.

Name calling? I've been called a hater and a clown, one of those things here in this thread, for daring to speak my mind on what I see out of our starting qb. Tighten up. Name calling. Lol
Yes. And I feel the same about anyone spitting the rhetoric the other way. You started this entire thread with a mocking, negative tone. You're responsible for starting the regression in this thread.

You laugh at the name calling. Fine. I just think it's possible to have higher expectations for interaction than you do. I don't believe disagreeing with someone is an adequate reason to be disagreeable.

i agree with that. rush looked “great” i just don’t think it’s an apples to apples comparison to indict Dak. i just want to win though.

I'm going to have to agree. Basically, Cooper gets the ball out and finds open guys. Our OLine was getting a push today and quite often.

If we had ran Tony more and Zeke less the running blocking would be looking better now too

He'll be on the bench once Peters gets in there. Smith will likely shift to G
Farniok is on skates in pass blocking. Looks a lot like Conner Williams in that respect. I would leave Tyler Smith right where he is. That is his job now and he’s doing well. Leave him. Peters might be a decent LG.

I think moving Smith to Guard will be smoother and more successful than moving a guy who's played LT for 20 years, just mho.

its coming together.
tyler smith is handlin' his business.
biadasz in my opinion is playing better.
when mcgovern comes back i think that'll help.
i'd rather they try jason peters at that spot.
over all,the line is playing better.

No, he won't.

Farniok is solid and getting better with every game he starts/plays. He is solid in run blocking. His weakness a few times is on pass protection when either he leans forward too much or gets too tall (the same has happened to Tyler Smith a few times as well). With more practice and game reps, he will get better and continue to prove he is our new mainstay at Left Guard, thus enabling rookie Tyler Smith to stay and start at Left Tackle which he was initially drafted for. Tyler Smith and Matt Farniok together are going to prove to be a solid team playing next to each other going forward.

The one who needs to worry is old and injury-prone Tyron Smith. If he doesn't take a paycut by season's end, this might be his last year in Dallas unless Jerry steps in and protects him.
