Offensive play-calling preseason

Agree with you, Whirly, but I got a feeling they’re not gonna show the full package in preseason. They’ll likely hold some stuff back. jmo

Lmao until Garrett loses the locker room I support him for that reason. What I don't like about Jason is he doesn't hold any respect with the referees. We never get the benefit of the doubt. I would fire him for that alone

I think we show everything ...
Besides the teams already know our playbook , we rely heavily, if not absolutely, on talent .

I imagine there will be glimpses, but starters will play sparingly, including Dak, who may not play at all in 1-2 games, so they really won't be in a position to work hard in the games on the full scope of the offense.

Yeah I figured that point was coming. And I have to agree. But when they are in the field I do expect to see some different things

That's not who any HC is unless he really needs to instill some winning in his team. I've seen HC's go all out for a win to try that but it seldom translates into the real season because the other HC doesn't care about preseason games.

The worst of them all, and he openly admitted it, was Tony Dungy but he did have his team prepared come opening day. I think he was the first to think of camp bodies and using those guys until he had to make the cuts.

You show me a coach that needs pretend games to make roster decisions and I'll show you a man not long for this league. They learn about their players matching them up against their own talent and specific situations just like the college coaches do. They don't need pretend games. What they do need is controlled scrimmages.

And there is the question of back up QB, if they're only going into the season with two and why wouldn't they, Prescott's durability is A+.
