Looking at just the last three games league-wide.....
First, the Cowboys games were three consecutive road games and they were one of four teams to go 3-0. None of the other teams had to go on the road all three weeks.
With that said:
Cowboys ranked 10th in yardage. How could that be? I thought they were only able to move the ball when they got premium field position as a result of a defensive takeaway.
Cowboys ranked 7th in points scored. Wait a minute, Zeke isn't doing anything, Dak is in a slump but the Cowboys are in the top ten for both yards and scoring over the past three weeks? I thought they were flatlining, At least, that is what I've been hearing and reading.
Again, I'm not talking about the total season. These numbers aren't favorable because they represent the first quarter of the season, this is right now. This is all December games and comparing them to the rest of the league.
Cowboys ranked 2nd in offensive plays. Only Tampa Bay has more. The Cowboys are getting more offensive plays than 30 other teams. Well, hold up now. How can this be true when half their drives are three and out due to their ineptitude?
Cowboys ranked 9th in Time of Possession. Another top ten designation. That's impossible! It just seems that they are on the field and, in a blink of an eye, it 4th and whatever.....right?
Cowboys top ten in scoring, yardage, offensive plays, and time of possession for the last three weeks combined. Oh, the misery? When will it end?
Now, in the spirit of complete transparency, the games for six teams have yet to be tabulated, These are the games tonight and tomorrow. The rankings will change slightly. However, looking at the numbers from 26 NFL teams and this is where the Cowboys stand offensively......this is the meltdown, the proof that the Cowboys are folding?
And what happens if the Cowboys offense ends their "slump" and improves to where it was at the beginning of the season?
Scratch that! What happens if they only improve to the midway point of now and the beginning of the season?
Now add the trajectory of the well documented defensive performance as the regular season ends.
This could be the best opportunity for the Cowboys to succeed in the playoffs. I would hate to miss the excitement because I was too busy nitpicking the performance of a few starters for not playing 24-7 elite.
This is what I was thinking about while I was driving and listening to a sports talk show. They were discussing Dak's performance. Then the show host makes the Captain Obvious, popular observation that "quarterbacks get too much credit when the team wins and too much blame when the team loses."
I almost slammed on my brakes from the shock. Did you catch it immediately?
Dak seems to be getting blame.....but for what?.........
THEY-DID-NOT-LOSE!!!

The Cowboys won the last three games! What are we blaming Dak and Zeke for? Not being fantasy team treasures? Their salaries which are part of a cap? So what! Who on this forum can claim that they got a "Dak and Zeke bill" in the mail?
The Dallas Cowboys swept three consecutive road games in December. However, they did not score 50 points a game and Dak did not look like the reincarnation of a quarterback that only exists in the minds of some posters.
