Last year Tony Romo had 1,089 snaps which is about 69 snaps per game
This year Tony Romo has 794 snaps which puts him on pace for about 61 snaps per game
This speaks to the inability to sustain drives and convert 3rd downs and also speaks to the defenses inability to get off the field.
This can be attributed to the general lack of production of a lot of guys on the offense including Witten, Dez, and others..
Just for a comparison Payton Manning has 985, Tomy Brady has 974, and Drew Brees has 887...
The best offenses operate at a high tempo and have a lot of snaps to work with.
