with Arizona standout, OT Eben Britten recently declaring, and Alabama OT Andre Smith almost assuredly coming out (suspended for violating team rules), this OT draft class is loaded

those 2, added to Ole Miss OT Michael Oher, Baylor OT Jason Smith, South Carolina OT Jamon Meredith, a very, talented OT has a chance of being available at our pick in the 2nd

I know Flozell is extended for eternity, and we just extended Marc Colombo, but if the opportunity presents itself to get a stout OT, I think we should jump at it

then there's Oklahoma Phil Loadholt, Tulane Troy Kropog, UConn Will Beatty, might even push a guy like Sooner OG Duke Robinson down to us

After watching the OL play this year....

I would not be upset with drafting an OL or several this year.

forgot about maybe the best OT that's going to be available

Virginia's Eugene Monroe

I've figured why our line is so bad in short-yardage rushing plays

they're all tall, that means they aren't bending low enough, the D is beating them getting down and establishing position

Expect it.

I am all for Dallas grabbing a LT and G in this draft. I absolutely love Duke Robinson and wouldn't mind Jerry trading into the late 1st or up in the early part of round 2 for him. He would start from day one. Kosier would then be a relatively cheap utility guy and Dallas can axe McQuistan.

I also would love to get a LT who can play right away so Flo would have competition. Then he can be benched for poor play and inexcusable mental errors. This is the accountability I want and it starts with Jerry the GM and trickles down.

that's because you're naive :)

LOL.

I just want to see a playoff win before I die.

I'm days away from being 23. Average male lives to be about 73 (or whatever). That gives me 50 years. Surely, we'll win one in that time span.

I can promise you this much. When we do win a playoff game, I'm getting so plastered and celebrating it like I won the lottery.

I would really like to believe that.

But even if it happens that doesn't mean our OL drafting woes are suddenly over.

That's depressing.

We do not have a 1st, 3rd or 6th round draft pick due to the trade for Roy Williams. Now with limited draft picks and knowing it usually takes 3 or 4 years for and offensive lineman draft to fit in and play up to pay. At this point we can not wait 2 years for a good draft pick and 3 more years for them to be productive.
I have been saying for over 10 years that you must protect your quarterback if you expect ot have any chance to win. Problem is drafting a lineman takes years for them to be productive and time we do not have.
So we have to watch free agency and hope for the best.

same here

and although I don't condone drinking and driving, I'll be driving all around Annapolis, honking my horn, all night, drinking beers, and screaming at the top of my lungs

only 23 years old? ha, youngin'

Flo's in his prime ... cause we all know OT's don't bloom until they're almost 40.

You're right, Dallas has a 2nd, a high 3rd (from Cleveland), two 4th's, two 5th rounders, a 6th and a couple 7th's. Plenty of ammo for Jerry to do what he wants in the draft. Trading back into the late 1st or up in the 2nd are viable options.

Relax my friend, there are lineman that can play right away and hopefully Dallas can land a couple early in this draft (late 1st or early 2nd).
