Of all the positions in football, I've seen the most development take place at the OT position. I've seen it take 3 or more seasons for an OT to turn things around.

Even the great Tyron Smith wasn't allowed to play LT in his rookie season. He played RT while Doug Free played LT. The following season they switched.

Shelton will make the team. Give him a few seasons, though.

A few seasons is ridiculous. He’s on a 4 year contract so we get maybe one year out of him before having to give him his next contract. 4 years at Penn State that has an absolutely ridiculous Biadasz weight room and he still comes out weak? How does that happen after 4 years at a bigtime program?

I thought someone mentioned new OL coach in one of these OL threads . Connor Riley out of K. State called the “ best college OL coach “ when Dallas hired him is in year 2 in Dallas . He was Beebe’s coach . He needs to get something out of Shelton , this year it’s a 17 game marathon .

We won't see a lot from him until next year. Coaching can't make up for the strength he needs.

If injuries occur and you start going down the healthy bodies on the bench you might see him rookie year . He’s got to be getting prepared for anything and the coaches .
