I don't know if they mentioned it or not, was it a record, did Jerry get another record with the deathstar for a Superbowl?

I was listening for that myself and I do not think they ever announced it.

espn has it...NO RECORD for jerry...his whole year has been a failure. couldnt happen to a better guy.

On CNN it said 103,000 and change. I think when they held it in the Rose Bowl they had more than that.

After saying all week that he expected Sunday's game to set an all-time Super Bowl attendance record with 105,000 fans seated inside the stadium, Dallas Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones come up short as the announced attendance of 103,219 was just shy of the 103,985 mark set in Super Bowl XIV between the Los Angeles Rams and Pittsburgh Steelers at the Rose Bowl.

:lmao:

Those 850 seats cost Jerry the record

ESPNDFW has an article about it. It did not break the record and mostly due to the seats they lost earlier with the temporary seating. Didn't know if I could place article here.

I guess I fail to see the hilarity.

Save the record for when we go to the bowl... Jerry said no packer and steeler record tonight

Yeah the idiot contractor the NFL hired for those seats screwed up.

Some of you... just good GOD...

I'm no fan of Jerry, but the NFL and weather screwed the pooch on this one...

The Houston local news claimed that since the seats were so late in getting put in that the Fire Marshall didn't have time to inspect them that's why they weren't able to use them.

Jerry has had problems with the Fire Marshall with the opening game also.

Because they hate Jerry Jones and the Cowboys. Why do they claim to be fans when everything negative about the Cowboys makes them happy? If you take pleasure in the Cowboys failing then your not really a fan.

Jerry Jones said this week that Cowboys Stadium had a chance to break the 1980 Super Bowl attendance record, when 103,985 packed the Rose Bowl to see the L.A. Rams play the Pittsburgh Steelers. Close, but not quite: 103,219 saw the Packers beat the Steelers, 28-25, in Super Bowl XLV. Sunday's attendance also narrowly missed the stadium's single-game record from Sept. 21, 2009, Cowboys Stadium’s inaugural game between the Cowboys and Giants (105,121)

Yep. That first game when Jerry wanted that record, he let way too many people in without the fire marshall's consent... The old "easier to ask for forgiveness than permission" theory. I wouldn't be too surprised if that had something to do with this today. You just can't play around with city codes like that.

I do too, but I'm way past surprised by some people. They revel in every "failure" that can be linked to Jerry Jones in any way, and that includes when the Cowboys do. But hey, they hope to be proven wrong.

Looking at the numbers, I heard that only 400 did not end up at the game. If that is so we still would not have the record.
