I'm convinced the Cowboys will never bring in a mobile qb to this team. Why sign David Carr when you could've signed Vince Young or Pat White? We need some guys that can make plays with their legs as well.

The plan isn't to play whomever they bring to the team. They will only play in an emergency. They need guys that can learn enough of the playbook and be ready if Orton gets hurt. Carr has been a backup for a while and knows that role. Young doesn't know how to prepare as a backup. Pat White just isn't any good. He hasn't even been a good runner in the NFL. He has 21 career carries for 81 yards. Not impressive.

1310 the Ticket in Dallas said earlier that sources at Valley Ranch say Dallas may very well call Favre...unreal

I thought earlier this year that Pat White would add a different QB style that Romo and Orton didn't have--mobile- quick strike. I looked at Rosters of 4 teams he has been connected with this year and don't find him on any of their rosters.
Really would give Philly a different look that they are not expecting, just not sure if he's available.

What has Pat White ever done at the NFL level to show he would provide anything an opposing defense would fear?

White since coming into the league in 2009
21 rushing attempts
81 yards
1 fumble
5 pass attempts
0 completions
1 time sacked

I would seriously bring in Brett as the backup for Orton. You find yourself down 2 scores in the 2nd half, either Romo comes out like he did his 1st game against New York or you send in the gunslinger Bret

I am serious.

He is probably so out of shape that he couldnt finish a 5 step drop. But, I will say that this is not something I would put past Jerry...and I wouldnt put it past Favre either. So your thinking, IMO, is not that far-fetched.

My sources....have informed me that Favre is in very good shape. Coached the high school football team as an offensive coordinator to the state championship and won it. Runs with the team everyday and I hear he looks fantastic in his Wranglers

Brett Favre Says He Always Dreamed of Playing for the Dallas Cowboys :D Jerry has been on the phone already in my opinion but doesn't want the press all over this yet as they are still deciding if Romo has a chance or not to be in uniform. Wouldn't surprise me if Farve has already agreed and is in flight to Dallas. Now keep in mind I have no actual source here just laying some insight down for my Cowboys breatherin.

Is there any other qb's they can bring in just in case Orton gets hurt. Which is highly possible.

We are in luck. Nobody currently wears the #4 guess who is coming to town? Santa wears #25 so it is not him.
