***Official Cowboys-Philly Hype Thread***

I hate Cowboyless Sundays, but I make the best of them by relaxing in front of Sunday Ticket and rooting against Washington/Philly/NY and other NFC teams as playoff positioning dictates. But I absolutely LOVE big Monday night games, so I'm all good.

Yeah I'm debating on whether or not to wear any Cowboys gear or not. More than likely I won't, I value my well being a little more than telling a bunch of drunk Eagle fans that I'm a fan of the enemy. But it's my first time seeing the Cowboys play period. So this day is gonna drag on and on and on.

Don't you think the people around you will get a clue your a Cowboys fan when we score and you start cheering? LOL

All we have to do now is feast.

Commanders and Giants both lose games they should have won.

This is an opportunity to go a game up on the Skins and tie us for the East lead with the Giants whom we have already beat and at this point have to be scratching their heads after losing to that god awful Minny team.

The Eagles are on the ropes. They have alot of pride and we all know they are out to prove something, not to mention that playing in their house is a huge challenge no matter what kind of team they have.

This is it. I truely believe our season will be determined tonight. If we play hard and walk away with the win, the momentum could propel us to the post season and perhaps, home field advantage. We could be that good. If we lose, we're in a 3 way tie for 2nd in the East and we go into a tough part of our schedule not knowing if we can win the big game on the road. IT will be a deflating situation if we cant pull this off.

I know in literal terms, this one game wont decide the season, but this is the biggest game we've played in years. Its that important!

GO COWBOYS!!!!!!!!

Hoping for the perfect weekend. It cannot get any better than this if the Cowboys win. All three division rivals lose and the Cowboys beat one of them It doesn't get any better than that.

Play like they are playing for the division title. I want to see some intensity!!!

Yeah!!!! But it's not so much IN the stadium that I'm worried about. It's before the game in the parking lot, or after we get done stomping them into the ground. That's when I have to walk past them to my truck, when they're drunk and already mad.:war: :fight:

I just wanted to get some thoughts from you guys and gals regarding Bill going to his Brother's Funeral today.

Will this have any affect on the game?

This has to be really difficult for Parcells. I know he will not use this as an excuse, but it has got to where on him. I am imagining he will really have to work on holding his emotions today and tonight.
I just can not imagine going to your closest Brother's funeral and then going to coach the biggest game since you have been coach of the Cowboys that same night.

First question is will his situation be talked about a lot tonight?

Second will the players rally around him tonight? The last game he talked about how the players need to manage the game themselves at some point, and they did last week. I believe they really will tonight, and I believe there will be extra talk from the players before the game about this very point.

When we win will it be emotional on the sidelines?

Wear your colors under a jacket but show your colors during the game. those of us at home want to see some Blue and white in the stands. LOL

I'll be wearing blue. Plain blue though. Anyone else ever been to a Dallas game in Philly? Any thoughts?

Bill is a professional he will be ready and his team will be ready. I really have no doubts about that.

I think that the prospect of being back in 1st place will motivate this team more than anything. But I do think that the players will use some of BP's emotion to help.

I think the only way we lose tonight is by committing too many turnovers.

We can only beat ourselves tonight. The problem is that we have practice at beating ourselves.

If I could take off work today and spend the whole day talking football I would. 8:00 cant come fast enough!!!

Well honestly football is BP's life, the wife left, his brother died, I feel like he would think that he is in the autumn of his life, there would be a sense of urgency, that he may not get many more chances, and honestly Bledsoe, Key, Glenn, and a whole lot of other vets, better see this too, Philadelphia will be pumped, but they will play for their coach, and never forget our fans who make us America's team, there are no road games, we have friends in every port. BP has really worked to turn this program around, we were headed to the place where the Texans are(bottom). He has persevered past QC, has managed so many reclamation projects its not funny, it wasn't so long ago that meshawn was the TO of the NFL. I do trust in BP, coaching is his life, he wants to win so bad, he's like Patton, man he is driven and like Patton he won't tolerate loosing....

I totally agree, though even professionals can be distracted by such a loss. I do think the players want this game more than any other this year to solidify them as a contender, and also to show BP that they are behind him. We know BP knows what he's doing, the players want to make it known that they are for real to silince any doubt that may still be lingering!!

Just wondering if you guys think we will show as many fans as on the wet coast, man SF was like a home game, it drove the niners nuts, you could see the Blue and they couldn't go from the shotgun in their own home, if its anything like this we will rock their world...

I like your post it is very good and I agree with your analysis. This teams resurgence is the product of Bill Parcells and his unrelenting desire for gridiron perfection. While some fans take exception to Coach Parcells plain vanilla approach to football. the fact is the basics, the running, blocking and tackling school of football will almost always win over the razzle dazzle fling it till they drop brand when championships are on the line.

Wow -

Monday is here. I just cannot believe how wound up I am right now at 6:20am. Its been a long time coming for this team. Tonights the night for Dallas as far as Im concerned. If we dont get this win then I see us struggling mightly to make the playoffs. The letdown would be huge.

I dont see that however. I do see a young team chomping at the bit to show how "for real" they really are. Tonight is this teams coming out party. Tonight I think people will see everyone on this team grasping for that silver star. Taking this win home to Dallas will be huge.

Dallas 28 - Philly 17

Im Ready !!!

No way. This is a true Philly home game. Those fans have the reputation of being brutal to opposing team fans, and rightfully so. Batteries, snowballs,fights........real class. Just go to Igglephans.com and read some of there posts, you'll get the picture.

When I read you Title I was thinking about more are "we there yet as a contender"

Tonights' game will show that - not a do or die game but it will show if we have what it takes to go into the playoffs and contend!!!

Yesterday's Commander game could be the one where Iron Eyes Cody cries at the end.
