Trent had a killer defense on his side. Some argue that they won the Superbowl because of the defense and in spite of the offense lol.

Oddly enough...Mayweather has great defense...some say he is one of the best defensive fighters of all time.


So basically it boils down to If McGregor gets a lucky shot in or some other oddball scenario happens to mayweather.

If they were doing MMA match I think we would be all on the other end of the spectrum saying that Mayweather would have to get lucky in his take down defense and to fight off Elbows, knees and feet.

With all of that said.

Part of me hopes that the numbers of people that actually sign up for the Pay per View fall way, Way, WAY, WAY, WAY below what the Mayweather and McGregor camp hopes it does.

Sure they both get paid but really should they? Should they get paid for this type of silliness. This is not a matter of either fighting to earn a title. This is not a matter of actually finding out who is the best boxer vs the best MMA guy, this is a matter of money and money only. Oh well...they will make their millions, hell they may make enough to warrant another match...it just kind of irks me that they are only doing this for money. I know it is naive but I would hope it was for something more and not just a money grab by all involved.

Kind of why I quit watching boxing years ago.

It's going to make mma and the UFC look bad.
