Official Game Thread - Week 11 - Ravens

Did Henson throw an incompletion on that drive? I don't think he did.

I now want to see him before the game is lost by 30 points.

...nothing is more frustrating than trying to read through the PMP manual. The Cowboys are a pleasant distraction from a chore.

What's Drew's body language like? Is he antsy? What's his demeanor in the huddle?

Even more important, what BP's, Vinny's and the players demeanors like?

He's calm. Collected. He looks very serious. Like he's got a major job to do.

Henson's composure etc. is as good as anyone in the league. He does not look like a rookie based on how he acts. Maybe skill at this point, but not his demeanor.

Henson is poised in the pocket...Didn't see Bill or Vinny on the sidelines.

I know it was garbage time, but that was a long drive.

Not to mention, after getting sacked and fumbling on his first series, the kid easily could have been rattled. But he wasn't.

So far, so good. The only times he didn't look good were when the blocking fell apart.
I can forgive that fumble; his first ever nfl snap where his center gives the NT a free run.

I think he missed one where he threw the ball away.

His demeanor was calm and collected. He didn't seem to have happy feet even with some pressure.

He ran a QB draw near the end that was nifty.

Henson ran a nice QB draw up the middle. Don't think it was planned...the pocket collapsed and he showed some nice moves.

1-10-DAL20 (9:41) J.Jones up the middle to DAL 26 for 6 yards (R.Lewis, B.Scott).
2-4-DAL26 (9:09) J.Jones right end to DAL 27 for 1 yard (M.Kemoeatu).
3-3-DAL27 (8:30) D.Henson pass to T.Copper to DAL 33 for 6 yards (C.Fuller).
1-10-DAL33 (7:58) D.Henson pass to D.Barnes to DAL 33 for no gain (E.Reed).
2-10-DAL33 (7:18) J.Jones right guard to DAL 35 for 2 yards (B.Scott).
3-8-DAL35 (6:46) D.Henson pass incomplete to T.Copper.
PENALTY on BLT-M.Douglas, Defensive Offside, 5 yards, enforced at DAL 35 - No Play.

Thanks . . . I was pissed that I missed that.

The damned "back" button didn't feel like working on my remote!!!

nope. he was perfect on the drive: 6/6 47yds 1 TD

Yep I just checked. The play where he threw it way they called a penalty, so that did not count.

And the 7 yard run was not planned. He just took the hole and ran with it. He's good decent speed. Not Michael Vick, but definitely enough to make defenses think twice.

The link to the Post game show on DC.com isnt' working for me.

It keeps asking me if I want to save soem file . . .

and truth be told I didn't know that we were for sure going to lose the Philly and Ravens games, but I desperately wanted to see Drew in earlier.

It's obviously not my job to coach the Cowboys, but I felt that the team would gel around the chance for a young guy to move this team forward.

By mid season there's enough tape of a player that teams can begin to scheme against them, and it's not rocket science to figure out what makes Vinny give up mistakes.

If Drew's wheels are considerably better than Vinny's, that's another problem for defences to scheme. It's time that this team had a young accurate and mobile passer. We suffered far too long. No insult to Vinny, but he's really most useful as a backup and emergency starting for three to four games.

By the way, Buffalo is spanking the RAMS 37-17.

That Buffalo pick may end up being a mid 1st round pick.
