That's when they kicked the ball in a game situation. With defenders on the field.

Obviously they've kicked more than that on their own.

Yeah, I just figure they need more work than that, even in those situations. These two need to be practicing while they are driving to practice, neither have earned not to do that.

At this point, I would've expected to see at least twice as many of those situations for these two.

Bailey had the job on the platter if he can just be steady but has been disappointing in recent practices.I hope he performs better in the remaining games because i have no faith in wide left Buehler.

Bailey's regressed in practice. Looks like he's more comfortable in the Alamodome but not at Cowboys Stadium. If he misses one or two in the real game, he's done

I'm just guessing here but I think Bailey might actually be getting a little leg weary. He's probably kicked more in the last three weeks than at any point in his life.

Whereas a guy like Buehler has that great leg strength and can avoid hitting that wall.

fact is when you come right down to it having a kicker who is consistent is a rarity in the NFL. Guys like Murray and Viniteri are very much the exceptions. Folk was great then he stank then he got better but has not reached back to where he was at his best. Look around the league now and find a kicker that has been really consistent for 5 years; the list is pretty short.

Bailey started out great but seems to be regressing.

10 total misses from under 40 yards is pretty disturbing. 40 yards + percentages seem fairly acceptable.

** Dan Bailey has missed four of his last five kicks. He closed the two-minute drive led by the first-team offense by pushing a 45-yarder wide to the right. He's done. At least he's getting exposed now vs. later. I still hope Kai Forbath gets back in time for the last 2 preseason games to show what he's got. He was by far the better kicker throughout college if not for the injury that looked like it affected him during his senior year.

I think the problem is that we've seen what Beuhler can give us. He's not going to get much better period. And what he's got is unsat. I'd take my chances with Bailey who I have a lot of confidence will DEFINITELY NOT be worse that Buehler. Bailey was money in college and a gamer who made pressure kicks. Buehler never was that, even in college. I think Bailey is just hitting a bit of a wall but will be much better in the long run. Besides that, even with a few bad days, Bailey has still been considerably better overall. Bottomline is that we're IDIOTS and will lose several games if we go with only Buehler as K this year. We could anyway with Bailey or anyone else, but I have no doubt we will lose more games with Buehler as our only option at K.

Bailey went 4 of 5 today (nearly went 3 of 5 on a bad kick), Buehler sat out with hip injury, 08/16/11
