***Official Streaming Netflix, Amazon, Hulu and other streaming sites thread***

I didn't realize Peacemaker season 2 was dropping 1 episode per week. That sucks. I would have waited to watch it but I watched the first 2 episodes. I hate when the do that.

Gen V Season 2 release date is September 17th. 3 episodes will drop that day but the rest will drop weekly until October 22. I will wait until October to start watching it.

Wow, it's been so long, I'm not even sure if that's the The Boys spin-off.

That was one of the best episodes of TV in a while with Alien Earth. Felt like I was watching a movie.

Wednesday today. Peacemaker and the finale of Dexter tomorrow (after the game of course #1 priority). TV has been fire. And ain't even hit fall yet.

Wednesday final was good. Setup for next season.

Alien Earth was good and another good song to end the episode...cherub rock by Smashing Pumpkins. Not a spoiler but the start of this episode did throw me off a bit as I thought it was just playing the first episode again.

I'm loving Alien Earth, but I'm a huge Alien homer. I really like them ending each episode on a great rock song.

Dept. Q
Netflix
Good UK based crime drama
Interesting story and good cast
7.5/10
I just started watching this one. It is basically the same back story as Ballard, the spinoff of Bosch on Prime. Rogue cop liked by no one is shoved into a department by himself to investigate cold cases. Ballard is the same exact story.

Amen brotha! It's been fantastic. Just a great combination of Alien lore with some modern and creepy twists. Can't wait for the final 3 episodes.
The last episode was like an Alien movie. I just wish it wasn't packed with commercials. Even though I ma recording it and ffing through the commercials it is still annoying.

I don't know why but I really like this show. I can't wait for season 3 and I hope they drop all episodes at once next time.

Something I started doing many years ago back in the DVD era is waiting until a show's season ends before watching it, so doing that with streaming services is no different.

In fact, it was great for a while because they would release the previous season on DVD right as the new season was starting so that worked out great for season-ending cliffhangers.

You could binge watch the previous season and if it ended on a cliffhanger, watch (only) the first episode of the next season to see the immediate conclusion usually.

Fortunately, these days there are so many TV shows available that available time to watch them is the primary factor rather than having patience.

Even the binge-watching leader like Netflix now loves to split their seasons into two or more batches-over-time to force people to have to pay for 2 or 3 months to watch them, but if you wait until the last batch streams you can then watch all of them in one swoop.

I know this isn't new to most people, but it's what I've been doing since the DVD days so I no longer even think about it.

That's the strategy these days. Just finished anything I wanted to catch up on Prime and Netflix. About to make the rounds with HBO and Disney/Hulu. And yes, Peacemaker is for sure on my list. Loved the first one. But also can't wait to binge that new Aliens show.

She is very good. I think Gwendoline Christie does a great job too. I still can't get comfortable with Luis Guzman as Gomez though. Seems like a mis-cast.
Agree, but then again, he's competing against Raul Julia. That whole cast from the movie remakes was top notch.Hard to get better than that. Even the original Gomez, John Astin, did an iconic job. I remember watching either Letterman or Conan O'Brien who always had him on call as a backup guest when needed because he still had that personality. I agree though on Jenna Ortega. If I was still young, I would have a huge crush on that girl.

I don't disagree, Guzman has some big shoes to fill. Astin and Julia were superb in the role In fact, I remember thinking how difficult it would be for Julia to play the role after Astin's performance. I was pleasantly surprised and then some. Perhaps the producers chose not to go that route and instead get a Gomez that was completely the opposite of the other two simply because they were so good in the role.
