I have two young boys, who have recently been introduced to watermelon. They are somewhat addicted to them. I took a bite of one today for the first time in years. I had forgoten how damn good a sweet, cold watermelon tastes on a hot day.

That is all.

Good watermellon =

Bad watermellon = :ralph:

And I agree with the salt, a little sprinkle changes the taste alot.

Anyone who bites into fresh watermelon and refuses to recognize that there's a God is beyond help. THAT TASTE could NEVER happen by pure chance. It was intentionally and specifically designed for a purpose................and it can't be duplicated.

On the other hand, old and stale watermelon is one of the hardest things to swallow on Earth. It's like eating snot.

I've never liked watermelon with salt. Actually, I don't like mixing sweet and salt flavors, at all.

However, I do like cold, sweet watermelon. Can't decide which I like more...chopping off a piece from a fresh watermelon or eating pre-cut watermelon.

I actually don't really care for watermelon that much. I don't dislike it, but I'm not going out of my way to eat it either.

I used to throw melons as a kid to earn extra cash. That was some back-breaking labor and I mysteriously started really disliking them ever since.

Happy that your kids enjoy them so much, though.

The Comedy tour has certainly suffered since your retirement:mad: ;) :D

Salt on watermelons is for losers...... This is the only thing that should *******ize a ripe melon.

Watermelons from the Rio Grande Valley are the BEST!!! Best watermelons are not bought in grocery stores but on the rusty trailer on the side of the road. Yet another benefit of living in Texas.
