Fans always see one side of the coin...

On the 3rd down play prior to our last possession (Orton's last Int), there was a serious hold on one of our players that wasn't called. That hold is why Foles was so upset when he hit the ground - he wasn't asking for a late hit. He made the 'hold' gesture and was livid?

Anyone see it?

I guess Dez was never held running down the sideline? Lol

The odd thing is never once did I see Dez act like he was held. He never once pleaded for a holding / interference call. I thought there were a few opportunities where pleading the case might have helped.

I contrasted it to the Packers game earlier in the day where I saw Jordy Nelson and other Packer WRs constantly pleading their cases and occasionally getting late flags thrown by the refs.

Yeah Dez didn't seem like his normal self last night. Wonder if he was still in a lot of pain or someone had a talk with him ;)

They let them play last night. Philly was flagged 6 times, but 5 of them were pretty black and white

Blatant/Obvious/Non judgment calls
2 Encroachment penalties
1 Offsides
1 Fair Catch Interference
1 Intentional grounding (which they didn't call on the closer accounts)

Other than that, the only subjective flag on Philly was a holding call in the first quarter on Lane Johnson.

My point is: they didn't call defensive holding or PI on Philly either. They let them play.

Bonus: there was only 1 penalty in the 4th quarter, and it was the delay of game debacle. They really swallowed their whistles in the final frame.

I don't think that is why Foles was wanting a flag. He wanted Selvie to be called for a late hit, which was very close. Foles slid feet first so he can't be hit, but Selvie did hit him after he was on the ground. You can see the ref motioning that Selvie was attempting to avoid so he was not throwing the flag. I didn't see any hold on that play.

I would be interested in seeing the video because I didn't see the hold gesture at all. But then again i was in shock that we actually made a stop in a critical situation.

Surprised they didn't call the late hit. Chicago was called for a late hit on Rodgers that was almost identical. Selvie was just a tad closer to Foles than Chi's defender was to Rodgers. Didn't matter though.

Yep, it was I believe in Riley or some other long-haired wie dude... He was man-handled and not only was Foley livid, Riley or another long-haired white dude other than Riley was yelling at the ref too.

Demarcus Ware on one screen totally wrapd McCoy up in a bear hug, when Foles threw the ball into the ground. McCoy just shook his head when going to the sidelines after the play. I think the two-point on Dez could have bee called, but was close. Outside that, it seemed pretty cleanly ref'ed.

What's the point?
Referees are inconsistent. One week they let them play, another week everything gets called. Yeah, we mugged their receivers, and they did a pretty good job of it on ours. I'm fine with whatever the referees want to do, just be consistent about it.
