Resign:
Mo Claiborne, CB
Ro McClain, LB
Ronald Leary, OG
Cut:
Brandon Carr, CB
FA:
Jaye Howard, DT Our big money acquisition.
Matt Moore, QB - takes the sting away from not getting Wentz (not because we wouldn't, but because I feel certain that CLE takes him). Good backup who I wouldn't mind starting a few games.
Mario Williams, DE - 2 year deal
Draft:
Trade: TB gets #4, DAL gets #9(1st), 39(2nd), 105(4th)
1(9) - Ezekiel Elliott, RB Ohio State - Complete Back. He gets the nod for his stellar block and catch game. Helps Romo get through those "3-4 years" left.
Trade: DAL gets #24(1) and #119(4th). CIN gets #34(2nd), #39(2nd) and 2017 2nd
1(24) - Sheldon Rankins, DT Louisville - Stud DT that drops because of the strong class. Rankins, Howard, Crawford and Irving make a weak interior Dline an immediate strength.
3(67) - Sterling Shepard, WR Oklahoma
4(98) - Sean Davis, CB Maryland
T. 4(105) - Jatavis Brown, OLB/SS Akron - My favorite player in this draft! Graded as a 6th-7th right now. I think that changes after his pro day.
T. 4(119) - Vernon Adams, QB Oregon - Do I want the high risk guy who looks good in a uni or the low risk guy who does nothing but win?
C. 4(137) - Matt Judon, DE Grand Valley State
6(192) - Doug Middleton, CB/FS App State
C. 6(212) - Anthony Brown, CB Purdue - Another pet cat. Great pick up in the 6th
C. 6(216) - David Morgan, TE Texas-SA - Great blocking TE that can also make the tough catches. Morgan and Swaim could make a great 1-2 TE combo in 2-3 years.
C. 6(217) - Johnathan Gray, RB Texas - Was the best RB coming out of HS his year. Has since shown flashes, but has also suffered through two Achilles tears (1 in each leg). Ive watched a few videos on him. Great attitude! If he heals, we might have ourselves a great RB combo with Zeke and Gray.
Absurd after draft trade: Cleveland realizes that they need bodies at the WR position and not just 1 risky superstar. CLE trades Josh Gordon to DAL for Terrence Williams and Devin Street. Our WR corps become Dez, Gordon, Beasley, Shepard
