Main Player Cuts
- Brandon Carr
- Terrell McClain
- Devin Street
Cheap resigned
- Lance Dunbar RB
- Bernadeau OL
- James Hanna- With Escobar injured and swaim a unknown, Hanna should be brought back.
- Ronald Leary- place a 2nd round tender on him. great chance he gets taken by a playoff team.
- Rolando McClain ILB- has no market. Not resigned till after the draft on a cheap 1 year deal with some incentives.

Notable Free agent signings
- Anquan Boldin WR- 1 year contract. Even with all the talk of a future QB, we are still in win now mode so offensive weapons needed. Just a band-aid for the offense.
- Adrian Clayborn DE- Cheap option at DE if Hardy is for sure not coming back. Solid run defender and pretty decent pass rusher. rotates with Gregory at RDE.
Big Money signings
- Lamar Miller RB- Already came out and said scheme and fit will play a big factor on where he signs. He is woefully underused in Miami and he knows it. Like i have seen suggested on here i would give the same offer that was given to Murry. 4 years 24 mil, 12 mil guaranteed.
- Janoris Jenkins CB- Best zone corner in the game and perfect for our defense. Will probably be easier to steal from the Rams then Trumaine Johnson.

(Using CBS, Walterfootball, and Drafttek to get the general draft rankings)

RD 1.) Carson Wentz QB, NDS- The Man. The Myth. The Legend.

RD 2.) Robert Nkemdiche DT, Ole MIss-
Like Last year a top 10 talent who's stock has fallen due off field issue. He doesn't have the production u would think he would have with his elite athleticism and strength but neither did a few of the top pass rushers currently in the NFL. Compares to Sharrif Floyd who Marinelli said was a 1tec in his scheme. Day 1 starter next to Crawford.

RD 3.) Karl Joseph SS, West Virginia-
At 5'11" & 197 LBS Joseph is undersized at Strong Safety but he plays like hes much bigger. He is one of the most physical players in college football which is how he got nicknamed "Hitman". He is a box safety but he has the cover skills, instincts, & ball skills to become a real play maker for our defense. He wont be able to cover tight ends but Byron Jones has already shown he can cover the best of the game. Some feel his ceiling is TJ Ward.

RD 4.) Bralon Addison WR, Oregon-
My pet cat WR this year. He is very fast, explosive, and aggressive with soft natural hands and the sweet feet to make defenders miss. He is undersized at 5'10 but he is compact built & has the skill set to become a dangerous offensive weapon. He will play mostly out the slot but u can move him to the outside when u need to stretch the field. Mostly uses his speed to beat defenders but he is also a good route runner which makes him deadly with with his track star speed. Makes an immediate impact as our KR/PR man

RD 4 Comp.) Cyrus Jones CB, Alabama-
A press corner with a little bit of coverage issues due to his size. Projects best as a nickle corner in a Tampa 2 defense. very physical and great in run support. Adds another kick return option.

RD 6.) Terrance Smith OLB, FSU-
Rangy and athletic linebacker with the speed to cover running backs and tight ends. Good depth player for the Will linebacker spot. Can contribute right away as a special teams specialist. has the frame to get a little bigger.

RD 6 Comp.) Drew Kaser P, Texas A&M- Averaged 48 yards per punt this season with a longest punt of 71 yards. Beat the per punt record that was previously held by Shane Lechler.

RD 6 Comp.) Jordan Swindle OT, Kentucky- Big and moves surprisingly quick for his size. Shows he can mirror in pass coverage(has trouble with speed rushers), has the burst to block in the 2nd level, & is decent as a zone blocker. Needs to add strength and continue to develop his footwork. Has the potential to be a decent swing tackle and his ceiling is starter at right tackle.

RD 6 Comp.) Quayvon Hicks FB, Georgia-
Was the man that cleared the run lanes for Todd Gurley and Nick Chubb. very solid run and pass blocker. great size at 6'1" 255 lbs. Natural hands as a pass catcher and a good goal line option as he is the best running fullback in this years class. Played both FB and TE in his college career.

Priority UDFA
-Byron Marshall RB, Oregon- Has the speed, stutter step, and burst to turn a short pass into a huge gain. Suffered a leg injury part way thru the 2015 season. If he checks out then he could be great value. Can use him the same way we used Dunbar & Whitehead this year. Bring him in to compete with both Dunbar and Whitehead during training camp.

-Shiro Davis DE, Texas- Poor mans Demarcus Lawrence. Good run defender and will occasianlly get to the QB. Has the potential to be a rotational player at Strong side defensive end. Been reported that he takes plays off and needs the right coach to keep him motivated. Sign him and let Hot Rod have him for training camp. If Hot Rod can't keep him motivated then i dont know who can.

I like it.

Only thing is I doubt Robert is there at 2. And guys who are universally better than those around him but not producing scare me.

I like Joseph a lot. I think we're looking at him and Killebrew. They're both projected in this area.

Love Addison. Not the biggest guy. But he'll compete. Reminds me of Steve Smith. And he's incredibly dangerous returning punts.

I also think if we go CB in the 3/4, which I think we will, we'll take one of the bigger guys. There's a lot of depth at CB this year, it's nice.

Overall very well done. Pretty much the exact areas I'd figure we'd target with the talent in this draft.

Thanks. I think their is a chance that Nkemdiche is at our 2nd pick even if its just a small chance. Read on NFL.com that their are some teams that are not looking at him unless he falls into the 2nd. With so many DT in this years draft with 1st-2nd round grades, we should be able to get a day 1 impact starter inside next to Crawford with our 2nd pick.

I think there (note how you spell that word) is no chance that Nkemdiche drops that far. Gregory dropped last year for a failed drug test and the concern about his mental health (teams believed he was bipolar but he's never been manic - he has an anxiety disorder). Nkemdiche had an issue with a legal substance

-shrugs- You never know. Yea he did smoke a legal substance but he also fell out of a window because of it :)laugh:). If you would have told me that Randy Gregory was going to fall to the end of the 2nd last year i would have said no way as well. It's not unreal to think a 1st round talent who did something dumb and immature before the draft could fall out of the 1st and get scooped up early but tons of DT in this years draft so you could replace Nkemdiche with the best available DT on the board. I want a DT in the 2nd.

Picking 34 is much different then picking 60........same as a player dropping. I don't see Nkemdiche falling to 60 but at 34 yes I see it

I'll take it. Loved the vet signings

Yea I'm hoping Corner and running back will be our big name signings this year in free agency. I like Boldin even at his old age. He is still a playmaker and red zone threat. I wanted Clayborn since last off season. He showed he can stay mostly healthy playing in i believe 14 games for Atlanta this year so i would have no problem getting him on a 2 or 3 year cheap contract.

I fully expect a CB signing of a good player. Think a de will also be signed who like yours, can be a rotation guy. Don't expect a WR or RB to be signed but we shall see

I can see a RB being signed. Most likely not as talented as Miller but one can hope that they at least inquire about him. He did say scheme fit was the most important to him because he wants to play instead of being a change of pace type back. Maybe we can get him for a steal since he is best in a zone blocking scheme and we have 3 all pro linemen with a 4th most likely to join them starting next season.

I keep seeing people put players like Kevin Benjamin & Alshon Jeffrey on their mocks. No way we spend big on WR after what they just gave Dez but a old vet like Boldin I can see happen with a 1 year contract. For all I know he retires if SF does want him back.

Would not surprise me if Karl Joseph ends up being the best safety in this year's draft class. He has the skills. Just a little on the small side.

-shrugs- Marinelli felt Sharrif Floyd could and he ain't much bigger the Nkimdeche. Could see where he may have to get over the 300 lbs mark tho.

I like pretty much everything except the Boldin signing. Our WR's lack speed. We need a guy who can stretch the field. A serious deep threat to open things up for the other guys. Clearly, Boldin is not that.

Everything else looks great. I'd love to have Wentz at #4. Good job.

Looking at the free agents at WR this year, most don't really stick out as burner types. They are mostly big target possession type receivers.

And in the draft the wide outs with speed, good hands, and the size to play on the outside are going to go early in the draft.

I like Boldin because he is a chain mover, a red zone threat, and dez insurance. We still have Brice Butler as a burner on the outside and I want Bralon Addison in this year's draft because he is burner as well.

Boldin replaces Street on the roster and Addison replaces Whitehead. But if course if their is a free agent WR you feel we should go after instead then please give a name or names.
