This is the crossroads. Jerry and little Enos need to bring some excitement and splash signings. They certainly can’t handle free agency in their usual manner. This should be a very interesting offseason.

I’ll keep saying it until he’s playing somewhere else, but Henry would go a long way in not only helping a one dimensional offense, but also bringing that excitement and getting fans to buy back in.

That packer loss was ugly enough where we might see a team take 24 a little more serious in comparison to sitting on their hands every year trying to save money. That ship has sailed. They can’t think staying the same course is still going to pay off?

We say that every off season.

Cost to much and he is getting older. Just get a RB in the draft. The Cowboys will need all the salary cap room they can use. There are always some good ones available in the 3rdish range.

Henry can't run behind a bad run scheme.
Had more to do with under sized RBs. This is a top tier passing offense and Henry would thrive with a little space which he had absolutely none in Tennessee. He was the only legit weapon there. Poor run scheme had more to do with poor decisions and not churning the RBs a lot sooner than they did. Then depending on Pollard and Dowdle.

We keep saying the same thing while the offense remains one dimensional and that draftee learning curve takes time. You can still draft a back, but thinking that guy will be good enough year 1 in January is very wishful thinking.

Put Henry on this team his ypc drops lower than it did in Tennessee. The old coach sucks. If we had muke McDaniel last year as OC and traded for Henry we might still be playing right now

Relax! Change is coming. The weaknesses will be identified. The draft board will be built to target these weaknesses. And free agency will target the one or two weaknesses they don't think they can fill through the draft. Why would you think staying the same course is what they are thinking? Even if they wanted to, I don't think they could remain the same from one year to the next. This team always evolves.

Lower than it did?? 2000+ carries and 4.7 8 year career avg in the crappiest of offenses. Henry won’t be good enough but a draftee will be the answer? Prescott can’t handle the pressure, that’s a fact and it’s time to bring in a back who will make defenses pay one way or the other and will be very capable of finishing football games.

It's 2023. He was 4.2 this year. What makes our oline a better run blocking lime besides big names? The scheme sucks period

Not true, their strategy remains the same. Bargain bin in free agency and a usually solid draft. Thats been the course. Due diligence and low level moves. Compare a cowboys usual offseason to what a team like SF does?

Do you not recall the FO being aggressive last offseason by acquiring Gilmore and Cooks in free agency? You don't give them credit for these moves. I expect more of this aggressiveness in free agency this offseason.

those are low level moves. Solid but here for a year with very little spent. That’s not really aggressive and credit for a quality offseason comes down to how the season played out. And yet another early exit tells you it wasn’t nearly enough.

You use "early exit" as evidence of anything you want to say. That's getting lame. In reality, those free agency acquisitions are moves we don't normally see from Stephen Jones. And again, I expect that same aggressiveness this coming free agency.

So do absolutely nothing? Or is their season over already. Or just pretend Prescott will put the team on his shoulders next year. The backs have not done this team any favors, broken tackles, run after contact, long runs. Cant just blame the run scheme. It’s been a one dimensional mess.

again that wasn’t aggressive. That was them sitting on their hands until the options were minimal. Nice moves yes, but thinking that is enough for a quality offseason is not even close. How is it lame to base the success of your offseason with the success of your season. Thats how this works and they didn’t do enough. Were you not watching last week?
