Offseason musing. What would you take for Dak?

I've seen lots of threads talking about how much we can get for Romo. I've seen threads talking about trading up in the draft. Even seen a few posts joking/talking about trading Dak.

Here's my question, what would you take to actually trade Dak away and roll forward with Romo? Start the search for yet another back-up?

For me, I won't say "never," but I just wouldn't. Cleveland's first for the next few years and I'd get interested, but probably not even then.

What about you?

Realistically? Their 1st and 2nd picks for the next 3 years. They basically waste them anyway.

From the teams like Cleveland that really need a QB? It would take their entire team, all of their cheerleaders, their next three drafts and every actor that appeared in the movie "Draft Day".

I wasn't sure what kind of answers I would get. But this is going to be very hard to top. LOL

Didn't I just respond to this thread

Trade value is different than what you would take in a trade. It would take a lot to pry Dak from Dallas because they have no long-term replacement, he only cost a 4th round pick, and they already like him obviously because they drafted him.
On the other hand, no team would offer more than a second because, why? With a first you could draft a more talented QB on a 5 year deal and then try to develop him along with your team. No GM is sitting around thinking that Dak is going to immediately help the team unless the four 1st team all-pros on offense are coming with him.

I wouldn't take anything for him. Anything we got would likely have to be used to replace him, and the odds even then are too low.

Oh come on...If Cleveland were to offer us both their #1's...We would jump all over this.

First we would draft Myles Garrett w/ the top pick....

then sitting @ 1/12 and 1/28....you could package both of those picks and get a Mitch Trubisky QB N. Carolina who is probably a better player in the long run.

Should we...without a doubt. But would we???? Funny how Jerry lost his gambling spirit after Jimmy left. Doesn't take a genius to figure out who was really running the Cowboys in the 90's;)

Franchise QBs are worth a helluva lot more than 2 number 1s. Then again, you thought Kellen Moore was a starter so I dont know why you even comment on anything QB related anymore. And for the record, i would place a Sig bet with you right now that Trubisky doesnt beat a single record of Daks from this previous season.

At this point the Cowboys will value Dak as worth three #1 picks.

yeah ok- Romo goes down after 3 plays and Sanchez finishes the season.
Why would u even toy with any idea of trading Dak?
Some people cant handle success and just like living in a cesspool of failure
