Ryan Cook has been average and Dallas might try to stay with him again but I would like an upgrade. Right now there isn't any real good centers thats going to be free agents.

Draft:
Barrett Jones
Khaled Holmes
Mario Benavides

In Cook and Costa I think Dallas actually likes the 2 deep at the position.

While not a popular position to have, this OL wasn't our main weakness the final month of the season by any means. It wasn't a strength but it was a group who can improve internally.

OC are hard to find in this draft class. Barrett Jones wasn't really that good at Bama as an OC. He was far better as an OG. He is strong enough to handle big NT and thus why he was there. But he'd get abused by Jay Ratliff as he did Shelden Richardson.
If we draft him he might well start at RG for us.

I guess when you have low standards not being a weakness is OK. BUT our lack of ability to run when we have to should be considered a weakness.

Love how so many ignore how often Romo is on the run.

Just because one or two teams do somewhat OK with terrible O lines is not an excuse

Brian Schwenke, 6-2 #312 California

CAL CAREER - Has played in 36 of 38 possible games and made 24 starts (all over the last two campaigns) during his three seasons with the program from 2009-11 ...

Joe Lund 6-2 #300 North Dakota State University

won the FCS Rimington Award

I hear Brian Winters, Kent might get some looks at Center at the Senior Bowl. At least during practices.

He played LT at Kent but he's kinda squatty and considered a 2nd/3rd round prospect at OG. Could see him end up as the 2nd rated C.

Reports say Jets $36m over Cap and some top line players will have to be let go. Rob needs to talk to Rex and work something out for Mangold and possibly another player or two. You never know.

wow and releasing or trading Sanchez wont help since he is guaranteed 8 million. that will still hit their cap next year.

I would love Mangold and Ferduson to be our Center and RT.
Also Sione Pouha.

I'm going to do some research and find some players they can get rid of with out much cap hit.

Just looking at the Jets contracts for next year, looks like the following will be released or restructured.

David Harris will be restructured or traded.
Ferguson will stay. His contract is locked by 17 million left in guaranteed.
Antonio Cromartie will be released or restructured.
Darrelle Revis will be released or traded or restructured
Sione Pouha will be back
Bart Scott will be released
Calvin Pace will be released

Mangold looks like one we can trade for. Not much left in guarantees but has alot left in signing bonus and option bonus so I don't see him being released. But a trade could work.
